To Stop Critical Race Theory, Fight to Control School Boards

The battle to win control of school boards from the grip of racial indoctrinators is like Normandy Beach. Everything hangs on the outcome. Lose and a generation is lost.

The outcome will determine whether your children learn to see themselves and other people as individuals, instead of merely members of a racial group. Parents of all ethnicities who never dreamed of getting involved in politics need to step up now.

Parents are already outraged by the indoctrination their kids are getting in school. White kids are shamed as racists and oppressors. Black kids are taught to think of themselves as victims. And the nation's history is being presented as something to despise.

When parents object to this brainwashing, school administrators respond with doubletalk, denying its "critical race theory," and insisting schools just want to be inclusive and diverse.

That's why it's time to shift from complaining to fighting for control of local school boards. These boards hire superintendents, set policies and have the clout to stop critical race theory. Except in large cities, such as New York, school boards are where the power is.

In Loudon County, Virginia, parents are organizing to recall a majority of the school board. They're distressed that teachers are mandated to take training in "systemic oppression and implicit bias." One of the recall organizer's explains that Loudon schools are focusing less "on individuals" and more on "identity groups and putting everybody into an identity box."

Last month, parents in Smithtown Central School District on Long Island put up three school board candidates and swept all three races. Organizers said they acted to stop the school from promoting the 1619 project, which recasts America's founding as driven by slavery, not the ideals of equality and liberty. Voter turnout was nearly triple the usual school board election.

In Southlake, a Dallas suburb, parents against divisive, race-conscious learning ran candidates committed to promoting the ideal of colorblind fairness. They won, too. Hannah Smith, one of the winning candidates, explained the outcome. "By a landslide," she said, voters "don't want racially divisive critical race theory taught to their children."

Even so, capturing a school board isn't a cakewalk. Unions have a grip on the process. Often candidates are union members, or their races are funded by union donations. In Fairport New York, a suburb of Rochester, two opponents of critical race theory lost in May to candidates supported by the teachers union.

In Oregon, Sonja McKenzie, vice president of the state's School Boards Association, says she's disturbed to see board races becoming hotly contested political events. "School board work is not political work. It is community work."

Don't buy that. Incumbents are posing as nonpartisan, but it's a ruse. Teachers unions give 94% of their money to Democrats. School boards tend to be pro-union, pro-Democratic Party and in favor of critical race theory.

Last month in Oregon, Color PAC described its school board candidates as living "at the intersections of multiple intersecting oppressions." Their divisive message is clear. Opposing them were parents like Maria Lopez-Dauenhauer, who wants unity. She lost her race.

But there's help on the way. Last week, a national political action committee called the 1776 Project announced it would be supporting school board candidates battling critical race theory. That could even the playing field against unions.

In many places, the fight for school boards started with parents frustrated that teachers unions would not allow schools to reopen. In Eastchester, New York, Jonah Rizzo-Bleichman never thought he'd run for political office. But seeing that "hybrid learning" was "a disaster" for his daughter, he concluded that "someone had to step up to fight for reopening the schools."

Now schools are open, but the stakes in the school board wars are even higher. Of course, schools should teach about America's past failures, along with its triumphs, and probe racial injustice where it still exists. But of paramount importance, young people should learn that their character and deeds matter more than their race.

Controlling the school boards is a start. Yet any plan to end government indoctrination of our children must wean schools off of the federal funding teat. Mandates attached to federal funding is the crux of the matter.

The biggest deal will always be the nuclear family ; and the effects parents have directly on their own children

For example my kids are so well trained and understanding things from my perspective did nothing to school could possibly present to them in terms of leftist ideology would ever get through

I think Covid is a hoax masks are stupid and anybody that tries to scream at them about this crap is a Karen

They don’t judge kids in terms of race ;and they are highly offended it true racism when they see it

It is very clear after the Democrats blatantly stole the last election after Trump won in a landslide that the grassroots conservative efforts need to be stepped up big time

The liberals the Marxist socialist have had control over the school systems for at least three generations as things stand right now

I had to Deprogram my daughter from the environmental team in Klum that she was fed in high school

Furthermore I had to teach her the long history of the Democratic Party the Ku Klux Klan racism and that it was a 100% Democrat issue

She refused to believe me until I pointed out all of the facts of the matter

The media in particular is completely evil and one-sided

The major problem we have in America is that generations of children have been taught not to believe in God , the Bible and Jesus Christ

They have been taught hedonism pleasure and get everything for myself now is the key philosophy in life

That is a death philosophy

And now what we see is the penultimate manifestation of that evil philosophy in the globalist cabal it’s thrush fourth this Covid nonsense which is merely a communist plot to take over the world and the vaccination industry is their main thrust they wanna hurt us like cattle into little cattle cars and get a little shots to control us

For decades and decades day of use the “vaccination” garbage in Third World countries to try to do population control and inject hormones into poor unsuspecting people to make them sterile

The evil left and it’s population control psych go path the consists of the three pillars abortion vaccines and contraception

The population control movement is supremely evil

Yes...an honorable goal...but if we don’t fix election issues...means nothing.

"Lose and a generation is lost."

A generation? Realistically, this would be like the seventh or eighth in a row. Progressives took over the schools over a century ago.

Even the socialists were getting into the game since the 1920s.

You know Bill Ayers became a professor right? I appreciate the sentiment, but let's stop acting like everything is new today.

Everyone needs to put their big boy pants on, pull their children out of public school: homeschool, find a private school, or build a private school.

This is an extremely naive and lightweight article on a very heavy subject. I served on a local public school board for 11 years with the intent of restoring traditional values and education practices to our schools, not restricted to critical race theory.

The fundamental problem is that education dollars and thus content, are controlled by State level bureaucrats (all of whom are liberal, even in a state like Texas). The education bureaucrats have succeeded in complicating everything from funding formulas to special education regulations to curriculum and instruction materials in such a way that no lay person has any chance to understand, let alone change, these nightmare scenarios without devoting absurd amounts of time to reading and studying education code and regulations, not to mention school district policy. The problem is most conservatives work for a living rather than spend their time studying government structures to learn how to agitate for change.

The local school board (at least in Texas) has the authority to determine curriculum independent of the state, but administrators are so steeped in the educu-ocracy that they will fight their own boards at every step. Many board members naively believe the superintendent has the best interest of students at heart, and defer to them because of their supposed “expertise”.

To re-make the structure of public education will require enormous political will and courage. We will be ridiculed in the media at every turn, which many people cannot withstand. But to those who say: “Just take your kids out of public school!” I respond, the overwhelming majority of the citizens who will determine the direction of this country will have attended public schools. They will be your plumbers, electricians, accountants, nurses and nearly all other people who in small ways, will determine the quality of your life.

To re-claim this nation, we need to re-claim the schools and universities.

And leave the battlefield wide open for giving the ENEMY an easy victory???

1. The current funding model of schools will never work. Since its inception is has been one long downhill slide into perpetuating idiocy.

2. Victory is not to reform it, but to end it.

3. The fewer students they have the quicker will be the downfall.

4. Who in their right mind would send their child to an institution that is currently so perverse?

This is it. If you don’t run, support a conservative that is running.
For far too long conservatives have allowed leftists to run amok.

White lawyers and conservative groups should have the brains to kill CRT as a racist discrimination ideology and program. Brains are not showing up on the white side lately.
