A Virginia school board put a teacher on leave after he cited science and Christianity when opposing a draft policy that requires teachers to agree with childrens’ claim that they are members of the opposite sex.
“I love all my students, but I will never lie to them regardless of the consequences,” gym teacher Byron “Tanner” Cross told the Loudoun school board on May 27.
Two days later, school officials told the teacher he was suspended amid an investigation.
On May 31, Glenn Youngkin, the 2o21 GOP candidate for governor, called on the school board to reinstate Tanner Cross:
As governor, I will stand for excellence in education. We will not teach critical race theory and I will stand up for teachers and parents against these kinds of canceled culture initiatives, and, by the way, who’s standing up for Tanner Cross?
Well, I’ll tell you as governor, I’ll have his back, I’ll stand up for the teachers, I’ll stand up for the parents. And I actually call on that school board right now in Loudoun County to reinstate Tanner Cross fully because they have absolutely ignored his constitutional rights and, oh by the way, his best interest is the children right now.
In his brief testimony on May 25, Cross cited a May 23 60 Minutes episode, which included testimony by teenage girls and boys who walked away from their transgender claims, sometimes after irreversible genital surgery. The transcript describes one boy who had his testicles removed:

A candidate that's not going all mealy-mouthed (for now!) on the left's envelope-pushing.
Good.
Teacher should’ve said he was a Moslem. Then they would’ve “bowed down” to his sacred beliefs and let him go.
good. was on the fence about Youngkin, but that is good news.
The transgender folk are mentally ill, and so are their parents for letting this happen.
WTF is wrong with just NO.
The doctor who did that should have his license revoked and be tried for mayhem.
A rare sighting - a republican with balls!
Now, let’s hear from his primary opponents and all the Freepers who have been badmouthing him.
“A rare sighting - a republican with balls!”
Until some democrat scares him into removing his own testicles.
From the article:
Two days after his statement to the board, Cross was put on administrative leave by the school district while officials conduct “investigations of allegations that you engaged in conduct that has had a disruptive impact on the operations of Leesburg Elementary School.”
The teacher was canned from an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!?!?! I had expected the left to push this gender dysphoria nonsense in the high schools, but if this is being pushed in the elementary schools then every single adult pushing this needs to be registered as a child sex offender and prohibited from EVER having unsupervised access to children not their own.
If Youngkin wants to win, he needs to do what Trump didn’t (to his detriment) — fight the Dems’ plans for “affordable housing: (i.e., inner city neighborhoods) in the suburbs. Pledge to do everything he can to preserve suburban property values and public safety.
Great news... Thank you...
He had no primary opponents. He recently won nomination in a convention.
That’s not true. He won in an unassembled convention against other opponents.
That's what I said. It was a convention not a primary. So he had no primary opponents.
But he HAD 5 other opponents he competed against for the nomination. Your post made it sound extraordinarily vague as if he was only candidate in contention for the nomination, when that simply was not the case.
If this is an issue that you’re upset over the fact that an unassembled convention process happened instead of a primary, that’s one thing. But the fact remains that 6 people were in contention for this GOP nomination for governor of Virginia and those who did not win are all in FULL support of Youngkin’s nomination now, including Chase.
I was merely pointing out that there was no primary. I should know because I was a delegate who voted (for Youngkin as 1st choice) at the convention. Go try to read someone else’s mind.
