Up until 14 days, there is no neurological tissue.
The nervous system develops between weeks 2 and 5 after conception. Thus, at some point during that time, the embryo becomes capable of feeling and awareness.
Therefore, these scientists have voted to allow experimentation on embryos that have some level of awareness.
Several months ago, I read an article that quoted an autism researcher who basically showed no empathy for unborn humans. That particular article was about the ethics of using human brains developed to the 12 week stage. The researcher saw no difference between using 12 week old human brains (which theoretically are conscious, but do not receive input from their environment) and using animals, which no one denies are sentient. He said that it does not matter whether the human brains have sentience, if studying them helps give insights into autism that might help his autistic son.
There are definitely people who believe that the ends justifies the means. These scientists are examples of that.
I guess it does not matter whether he has an ownership title and current registration if taking his car helps my daughter learn to drive.
They are removing organs from prisoners in China for SCIENCE! All hail “SCIENCE”!
So sentience occurs at 14 days... but the soul is created at conception.
But it is Human Life from Day One of conception.
There is a special place in Hell for all these “scientists”.
