Shirer’s works should be in your hard copy library.
I have the Rise and Fall by Shirer.
I did a book report on the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich for Junior High School.
Shades of Antifa!! Some things never change.
Pretty intense thick boot for JHS.
If Hitler was alive he could sue the Uniparty for copyright infringement regarding “the capitol insurrection”. That false flag “insurrection” was a total rip off of the Reichstag Fire ruse. Same goals, same methods, same overwhelming success.
I was always an “old” person. I went on to read books and authors like The Naked Communist, Henry Hazlitt, Henry Grady Weaver, and Frederic Bastiat in high school outside of class assignments.
I served as the president of the local Junior Republicans for my high school years. I was also the president of the band and the high school chess club, where I was first board.
I didn’t have a lot of free time on my hands.
Well at least the Capitol wasn’t burned down although it did put AOC into some sort of therapy sessions.
Don’t give them any ideas. You know they’ve got a really big show planned for us leading up to the midterms. Burning the Crapitol, yeah, that’s the ticket!

A definite MUST read.
Reminds me of the cartoon caption: "People who don't read history are doomed to repeat it. People who DO read history are doomed the stand by helplessly while everyone else repeats it."
I read that book and also his “Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” more than fifty years ago. They were very good reads, and I highly recommend them, as they show just what a slippery slope is, how it developed, and what it leads to.
The Vampire Economy is much better covering the day to day interactions of normal Germans during this time period.
I have read The Rise and Fall, three times and then gave it to my son. A must read for anyone interested in WWII.
I have read the book three times, the first was in 1964 and the second and third times just a few years ago. An excellent book and very well written. My son has it now.
BKMK and Thx!
I was watching Buckley’s Firing Line back then!
At first it was because of his weird accent Soon after it was because he made sense.
Met Buckley’s son a few years ago.
The only negative for me was the fact that I was reading it in a paperback that was published in the early 1950s & the type font was tiny.
Let me also recommend Atlas Shrugged. Ayn Rand grew up in Stalin's Russia and, although fiction, the book could have been written about the CommieCrat Beaurons of today.
A great book. I have often recommended it to my pro-life friends.
