Most people who recover from COVID-19 could have immunity that lasts at least a year or even longer — and may not need a booster shot after being vaccinated, as pair of new studies suggest.
The first study, published Monday in the journal Nature, found most people who were infected with the virus about a year earlier had immunological memory of the disease in their bone marrow, suggesting they’re still able to produce antibodies.
And another report, which was published on the pre-print server BioRxic, found that these cells — called “memory B” — were robust for at least 12 months after infection.

Perhaps prior antibody testing is being discouraged because we might find out how many of the people whose lives were disrupted due to a positive PCR test will be found to have no antibodies. A PCR test using a high number of amplifications is just one of the reasons for getting a false positive
I’m 66 with seasonal asthma but surprisingly this didn’t bother my asthma as much as bronchitis usually does. I called her pretty fast instead of waiting because of COVID so I got medicated sooner. The worst part for me was the intense stomach pain. I never had that with regular bronchitis. I eventually had to take my daughter’s prescription Zantac to get any relief.
Head of CDC, Dr. Redfield the Silenced (by Trump taskforce it seems),tried to tell us about natural immunity.
He said universal masking for 6 months like vaccine. Small exposures with masks reduce severity of illnesses and deaths and futher builds immunity. Pandemic over in 6 months and lockdowns avoided. He was silenced!!!
I expect these studies to quickly disappear, or be bludgeoned by other studies. There is too much money at stake for Bog Pharma.
Really good point
I don't ever remember having bronchitis. My mother claimed she had chronic bronchitis, because she had a cough, but it was a smoker's cough. She would never blame it on the cigarettes. She died of lung cancer.
When I was little, I had the croup and earaches a lot. Got used to needles then because the doctor would come to the house and give me a penicillin shot in my butt. Got my tonsils and adenoids out at age 5, and never had another problem. When I was much younger, I did periodically get an upper respiratory infection, that would require antibiotics. But I haven't had anything like that for over 30 years.
I just got over what could have been an episode of diverticulitis. It could have been that, or it could have been something else entirely. I didn't vomit, but I did have terrible gas and periodic diarrhea. No abdominal tenderness though. Woke up a couple of nights soaking wet, had some fatigue for a couple of days too. I have GERD and mild IBS that I take medication twice a day for. I ended up with a perforated bowel back in 2010 caused by diverticulitis. Had to have a resection, and temporary colostomy, which was reversed three months later. Hadn't had any real abdominal problems since then until last week. I also thought maybe it could have been caused by the second cortisone injection in my back. I'd had one in the other side two weeks earlier, and cortisone can give you diarrhea, fatigue and joint pain. I'd had cortisone shots before, but never two within a two-week period. They do raise your blood sugar, can give you headaches, and make you feel flushed as well. So God only knows what it was I had.
I'm scheduled for a gastroscopy and colonoscopy in June. Have to go for a Covid test five days before.
Both of my parents had all of those same issues but I have been very healthy. As soon as I got over whatever I had the stomach pain went away and hasn’t come back. My asthma only flares up when pollen is bad. It never bothers me the rest of the year. I have never smoked either.
I was fairly healthy until I got into my late 50’s. At almost 74, I was the baby in my family, and I’m the last one left. I had two sisters and a brother. My parents, and all my siblings smoked. Both parents and my second-oldest sister died of lung cancer. My brother died at 51 of a massive heart attack. My oldest sister died at age 74 of a stroke. I never smoked, but I’ve had my own health issues. My youngest son, now 50 has surgery in 2019 for cancerous polyps. He went through 6 months of chemo, and is cancer free, but he can no longer do the job he had, because of bowel problems created by the surgery. His immune system will never be the same either. They took out over 70 lymph nodes during his surgery. My oldest son, age 54 has RA, and takes medication...Plaquenil is one of them, plus he gives himself an injection of Humira once a week. He’s also been diagnosed with Osteoporosis, and has to have an injection for that every six months. Even his last cat hasn’t been spared. He’s been giving her meds and kitty chemo for liver cancer for the past 18 months. You’d never even know she was sick. She looks and acts healthier than us.
Wife had it in December. Relatively mild case. I got it from her and was very sick in January. Had infusion etc. She was tested last week during annual physical and still has the anti-bodies. AB count 155.
