The 75M will just buy more rockets to send into Israel. When will these idiots ever learn?

How can this be done? Wasn’t the move of the consulate an act of Congress?

The world would be better served if they made a stack of 6 trillion dollars and set fire to it. Oh wait, we already did that

I would think the US' ability to open a "consulate" in Jerusalem would require Israeli permission.

I hope they tell the anti-Israel and anti-American State Department and Blinken to kiss off.

If you don’t believe that the Democrats know what every penny of the 75 million will be used for, you are dumber than you accuse the Democrats of being. And just for your information, they are evil, not idiots. Only the idiots think they are idiots. They are extremely intelligent along with being extremely evil.

The consulate was downgraded because Trump moved the Embassy to Jerusalem. I think the normal setup is a consulate is in a city that does not have an embassy.

Yep. Apparent shell game prelude to moving (trying to move) the embassy back to Tel Aviv. Typical Ministry of Truth news story. Tell half or less of the whole with the important but troublesome part unmentioned.

Isn’t the embassy in Jerusalem? What do you need a consulate there as well for?

I bet only one or two Republicans speak out about this. This is clear change from a successful policy under the Trump administration to a failed policy of previous administrations.

Many Palestinians are terrorists, and those that are not support terrorism. It should be the policy of the United States that Palestinians are official enemies of the United States. We should not have diplomatic relations Palestinians. They have proven themselves unworthy of such a stature. Giving Palestinians money is tantamount to providing aid and comfort to the enemy. This is another long-term failed policy. If anything we should shut down all commerce, close and confiscate any banks accounts linked with US banks, and put political pressure on our allies to do the same. The last thing we should do is to ever help an enemy rebuild.

We should have provided overt support to Israel to destroy Gaza during this last round of attacks on innocents from Gaza. For every missile fired by Palestinians a building in Gaza should be flatten. Begin at the Israeli-Gaza border and destroy building after building and move inwards. That would have been over 3,000 buildings. Just keep doing it until the Palestinians stop their terrorism or until nothing is left of Gaza. If they do stop, make it clear that the next time Palestinians fire missiles that it will be 10 buildings destroyed per missile fired.

These cockroaches do not understand how to live in a peaceful and civilized world. They do not understand or recognized diplomacy. They will understand force or a least be dispatched to burn in hell for eternity.

The Consulate essentially acted as a mission dedicated to Palestinians, while the Embassy was for relations with Israel/Israelis. Trump moved the Embassy to Jerusalem, and subsequently the Consular functions were moved into the same building.

The purpose of the Biden Administration re-opening a consulate separate from the Embassy is to cater to Palestinian interests.

This is rewarding Hamas for launching a terror war.

This is providing funds for the next war.

Moving the Embassy to Jerusalem was a Congressional act, closing the consulate wasn’t.
