A prominent Black Lives Matter activist was shot by a group of four black men at a party in south London, police say.
Sasha Johnson is critically ill in hospital after being shot in the head at a property in Peckham on Sunday.
Met Commander Alison Heydari said the men had "entered the garden of the property and discharged a firearm".

Yes, yet another instance in which Olympic target pistol shooters or collectors were certainly not to blame but their government ordered these people to turn in their firearms back in the late ‘90s.

As far as the typical lib is concerned, anything we’re for, they’re against by default. As far as most republican politicians are concerned, the 2A is nothing but a hostage- “vote for us or the hostage gets it.” They don’t want to lose that hostage. As far as democrat politicians are concerned, the 2A empowers people and that’s unacceptable, the people need to depend on the government, not themselves.

I love that metaphor.
Most politicians hold issues hostage. Not just republicans. Democrats don’t solve social issues, and in fact encourage government dependency, because those are their main “hostage” issues.
Republicans have plenty too, particularly the RINOS and anti-Trumpers.
I think you just pin-pointed why I became a Trump supporter after I initially thought he was a trojan horse new-york liberal in disguise. He wasn’t just honest about his campain promises, he became a DOER!
But I never had a good way to articulate the difference.
Your metaphor of politicians using issues as hostages is the perfect juxtaposition. Trump was not trying to hold issues hostage. He was moving the meter on them.
Like in Chicago, black lives don’t matter if killed by other blacks.
