Blood can and is tested for several entities...HIV is one of them. No excuses.

A few years ago I had my hip replaced at the world's most famous hospital (hint: it's in Boston). My surgeon advised me to donate a couple of units of my own blood beforehand to be stored in the blood bank...just in case it was needed during the surgery.
There's no ironclad guarantee that the blood you receive from the Red Cross is 100% clean....even today.

So; your telling me you would trust the RED CROSS?
NO THANKS, if I ever have to go in for surgery I will pre-donate my own blood, if it’s an emergency then one of my IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS!
