Any company abandoning Asian manufacturing for the USA is good news.

You have to wonder if they were seeing something down the road that would have lead to another disruption of the flow of goods from Asia to the US.

About the only thing Biden has done right is leave Trump’s tariffs in place. We are starting to see real benefits of them.

They make excersize bicycles and treadmills so this will be actual manufacturing jobs.

Everything is changing - China's desire for an export-led development model, its desire to hold USD, its politics has become more anti-USA, its demographics have changed drastically over the last 30 years. Its massive labor force has already started to shrink. Trump and Covid have helped American business finally wake up also.

10 years ago, China was already uncompetitive for low-cost labor manufacturing, and costs of doing business there only continue to increase. The jobs China wants to take from America now are not assembling exercise machines. It now wants US jobs in high-tech, bio-tech and military manufacturing.

I’d be happy to have more assembly jobs come back to America.

Let’s be blunt: not everyone is suited to work in high tech.

We’ve been missing a lot of blue collar manufacturing jobs.

Maybe they saw this down the road

Good luck finding employees that will show up there.
Buddy of mine had to drive from Michigan down to Bowling Green twice a week to help assemble auto parts, he’s a R&D manager with a PhD that stands there trimming blow molded parts for 10 hours because they cannot get anyone willing to work now.

Peloton is a notoriously politically correct liberal progressive bastion of leftist thought and endeavor.

They make Amazon, Walt Disney and Target look conservative by comparison.

“They make excersize bicycles and treadmills “

I can’t imagine paying $4000 for a treadmill but more power to them!

Yup, they were bribed...

Note to OH taxpayers: NYS has spent billions on bribes.

Hint: It doesn’t work.

Oh yes, absolutely.

America's education system is geared toward leftist politics and supporting the political, expensive bureaucratic status quo. Its one of our biggest problems IMHO.

The only problem is that probably most of the parts will still be made offshore. They will be assembling the bikes in Ohio.

They will still have supply disruptions just like Ford is having now waiting for chips to put in their F150’s.
I believe that is also the issue Whirlpool is having with appliances.

I was considering buying a new Stihl weed wacker. Assembled in South Carolina from almost all foreign made parts. I guess it is better than made in China.

Watch RTV It’s Russian TV but out of America. You get info there you do not see anywhere else. It truly gives all sides, liberal, middle and conservative.

Anyway a American CEO mentioned they wonder among themselves how long before they are dragged out of their hotel rooms in China in the middle of the night and imprisoned and their companies nationalized.

You do not see these comments on American TV

One of their fancy treadmills was recently recalled — hundreds of thousands of units. Turns out it was maiming and killing children and pets who got entangled.

“maiming and killing children and pets who got entangled”
Not peletons fault if imbeciles don’t watch their kids or pets....and around a piece of exercise equipment that costs 4k, no less.
Muffy and Toby need to be taught “stay off that!” ASAP.

“Turns out it was maiming and killing children and pets who got entangled.”

Wonder how many other pieces of exercise equipment have injured people. I think Pelotron was singled out simply because the media had that video of the child being pulled under which in this case didn’t injure him.
