We haven't had a cold or flu in 5 years. We got them a lot when my wife first started at the nursing home and then it just stopped. I've been mask free and she still works there and covid has been through the place, 3-4 co-workers have had it but we just can't seem to get it. Seems like we should have by now.

If you have a healthy immune system, not getting the vaccine is certainly not an irrational choice. You can live your life without the shackles of masks, unnecessary “distancing”. If you get COVID-19 you’re likely to successfully fight it off, recover and add yourself to the immune.
But don’t allow yourself to be frightened by all the alarmist attention seekers.

Above all, I’m for “herd immunity”. Folks can contribute to herd immunity by either vaccination or by getting and recovering from COVID-19 disease.
