A bar in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood is now requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for entry.
CC’s posted on its Facebook page that the new policy will take effect May 22. The post pointed to constant changing of mask directives as part of the reason for the new policy, saying the changes “caused confusion and frustration over the right thing to do.”
The bar said that the policy protects staff and everyone who chooses to enter and provides incentive to get vaccinated.
Customers have to show a copy or picture of their vaccine card with the name and date matching their legal ID to enter.
“We understand this may be inconvenient or controversial for some, but it is safer for everyone in the long run,” the post read.
It’s a bar on Capitol Hill.
Trust me, you don’t want to go there. And I don’t even know you.
And if you did it’s not likely you would recognize all the life forms present.
> As such he cannot discriminate. <
It all depends. No right, including a religious right, is absolute. See my post #38.
Oh, and here’s another example. Many Orthodox Jews believe in a strict separation of meat and daily products. Now let’s say a local restaurant refuses to do that. So they are, in fact, deliberately making it impossible for a Orthodox Jew to dine there. So a Christian can eat there. But not an Orthodox Jew.
Is that an illegal discrimination?
If it’s personally important to you, go there and force them to bake the damn cake.
Personally, I don’t care.
Interestng question.
The Jew is not forbidden from entering.
How about if the owner decides that males have to show proof of circumcision before entry? it’s a “health” thing, you know.
Hi.
Forgive me...
daily products
Dairy products. And you are correct.
I have Orthodox Jewish friends and relatives, and when I cook it must be Kosher.
So, two sets of grills/ovens, plates etc.
No problems in the Kehoe household.

Some local college students are make a lot of money making phony vax cards.
Not rocket science. Just go to a bar that’s not run by a**holes.
I second that.

Like on all of those ID requirement signs at polling places across America. Oh wait...
Maybe BLM and Antifa will help them to go out of business this summer.
Any and all “civil rights” laws are written & enforced one way and one way only. That is the way the wind is blowing in Washinton, the District of Corruption. Civil Rights, HIPPA., Privacy laws all are written to be a club to be held over some societal groups’ heads like a cudgel
Good occasion to stop drinking alcohol.
Well, I’ve been seeing a lot of ads for this alcohol delivery website on TV for the last few days.
Why leave home at all if you want to drink? Plus don’t have to worry about getting a DUI / DWI.
Although from what some above have written, I guess people are going to that bar more for the cruise than the booze.
I don’t like to wish ill on anyone, but in this case, yes I certainly hope so.

It’s HIPAA.
HIPAA is toothless. Long has been. There is no private right of action under HIPAA. You can’t sue ANYONE for violating HIPAA.
Many comments in this threat about the legality or illegality of this issue.
Another viewpoint in this crazy world of obvious Dominion fraud everywhere (nothing to see here!!!) If someone does a court challenge, the right (or wrong) judge in the right (or wrong) jurisdiction can decide whatever he/she/they/it wants to decide or dismiss, and case is closed, regardless of laws on the books. Even up to supreme court. Unless or until real change happens.
Better yet... get in on the class action lawsuit and put them out of business.
LMAO! Love it!!
