More education typically leads to better health, yet Black men in the U.S. are not getting the same benefit as other groups, research suggests.
The reasons for the gap are vexing, experts said, but may provide an important window into unique challenges faced by Black men as they try to gain not only good health but also an equal footing in the U.S.
Generally, higher education means better-paying jobs and health insurance, healthier behaviors and longer lives. This is true across many demographic groups. And studies show life expectancy is higher for educated Black men — those with a college degree or higher — compared with those who have not finished high school.
But the increase is not as big as it is for whites. This comes on top of the many health obstacles Black men already face. They are more likely to die from chronic illnesses like cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer than white men, and their life expectancy, on average, is lower. Experts point to a variety of factors that might play a role, but many said the most pervasive is racism.

The problem is that there are just more being handed a diploma, not actually earning it or getting “more education”. The only thing that most of them seem to learn is to hate the country and the majority of people in it.
“Research suggests” means the research found what ti set out to find.
My daughter has worked as a nurse in a hospital for 20 years. She says “I cannot be racist or I would lose my job.” Well then, so much for that theory.
The fact is that blacks have a higher incidence of HEREDITARY problems like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, particularly breast cancer. I guess the people blaming “racism for hereditary problems will need to take that issue up with God, and not white America.
By publishing this article, the author just gave black Americans another reason to neglect their own health, it’s racism, and nothing they are failing to do for themselves.
Why just as an example, this ver morning, I, as a white man, spent a good part of morning urging black men to smoke more cigarettes, drink more coca-cola, and selling marijuana to young black men.
Just all part of my inherent racism.
I am so sick of this negro-coddling and excuse making.
I am even sicker of the commercials depicting an alternative world where negroes are a Super Race that represents a majority of the U.S. population .

The first questions I always consider (and everyone must consider) regarding literally any topic are these: Which of the various races were involved? Which races do I perceive may have been held back and which were unjustly advanced? Then I determine that black people have been stymied once again and the cause is white people holding them back, as always. So, after I reach that wise conclusion, I search for those respected leaders who can effectively articulate that newest discriminatory situation to the American people. And when I do that, I conclude that Al Sharpton, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jesse Jackson, Maxine Waters, and Ilhan Omar should be the ones to harangue the American public about it.
Conclusion: Race must be talked about 24/7. After all, that's what life is all about -- race. And the Democrat Party Cabal (DPC) is definitely doing a great job talking and obsessing about race 24/7. That's how the DPC "won" the 2020 clean-sweep "election" (Presidency, House, and Senate). It's a tactic that works tremendously with a plurality of American voters. So as long as it works, the DPC will continue doing it. And we should all be very thankful!
Consider how different things would be if children who are the descendants of a people who were persecuted, instead of teaching their children that they are still an oppressed victim, taught their children to be grateful and proud that their ancestors were extremely strong to have survived whichever horror they survived: be it slavery, Soviet gulag, Chinese cultural revolution, political famine, concentration camp, etc. Their ancestors had resilience and toughness, qualities very lacking in today’s victim generation.
U.S. News & World Report is a tremendous authoritative publication, respected around the world. Thus, I believe every word it says.
Could the number of young black men killing other young black men reduce average life expectancy? Could the problem be cruel white supremacists forcing Twinkies down the throat of helpless black men, causing significantly higher rates of obesity?
When everything is racist, nothing is.

Critical Race Theory masquerading as science. This article reminds of me of a study I saw published which concluded racism accounted for income inequities between blacks and whites/asian who held post graduate degrees. The one factor the “scientist” didn’t consider was field of study. Turns out more post graduate degrees of blacks were in the social sciences which pay considerably less (no matter your race) than hard sciences. The supposed “study” showing “racism” by comparing personal income didn’t consider the most important income factor! This article reads exactly the same way.
