PolitiFact added an editor's note Monday retracting the "pants on fire" claim.
PolitiFact, a Pulitzer Prize winning fact check group, has retracted a September 2020 report calling a Hong Kong virologist's analysis that COVID-19 originated in a lab a "debunked conspiracy theory."
"The claim is inaccurate and ridiculous," the original fact check reads, according to The Epoch Times. "We rate it Pants on Fire!"
An editor's note Monday said the group has removed but archived the original statement.
"When this fact-check was first published ... PolitiFact’s sources included researchers who asserted the SARS-CoV-2 virus could not have been manipulated. That assertion is now more widely disputed. For that reason, we are removing this fact-check from our database pending a more thorough review. Currently, we consider the claim to be unsupported by evidence and in dispute."
Some of the new evidence is include in a report by Republicans on the Democrat-controlled House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence that point to a possible leak in the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

Every time an American looked at an item for where it was made in it came from China. Now China’s reliance making everything was being threatened by a change in leadership in America which was a major consumer of those products. When Americans hailed their leaders decision to make many of them in their country US. Their politburo worried.
Worse yet opponents to the Chinese regime in power had its citizens protesting its policies , as in Hong Kong, since that change in American leadership, wave the American flag and present Trump’s name when doing so.
All of which presented those in power the need to destroy that leader Donald Trump. In totalitarian political circles this strategy has been reported to be frequently considered Would a runaway plague created by a nation which could threaten populations of an enemy cause them to react by demanding extreme restriction of movement by its population to prevent its spread ? When your a fact check organization, your going to have mistakes. When you rate something as “pants on fire” during an election year and your wrong, your not a fact check organization. Your just propaganda. The ‘science’ was there disputing where this virus came from DAY 1!! The almost exact increases function sars coronavirus was experimented on and PUBLISHED on from North Carolina in 2015. The bat story, was Chinese garbage, everyone with a bachelors in biology should have suspected another option. Further, they were arresting Chinese who were stealing and transporting biological vectors. That alone should have been a sobering moment for fact checkers that the communists were up to no good.
