Heavyweight authors Stephen King, J.K. Rowling feud over Trans women
The Hill ^ | May 21,2021 | Christian Spencer

Two of the best regarded novelists are having a big falling out — Stephen King and J.K Rowling are apparently no longer friends.

In a dispute that stemmed from King’s response to allegations of Rowling’s transphobia it has caused the "Harry Potter" creator to block the creator of "It" and "The Shining," the Daily Beast reported. “She sorta blocked me and all that,” King said.

The New York Post noted that their Twitter feud in June led to Rowling deleting a message that praised King.

As The Hill previously reported, Rowling defended Maya Forstater, a tax researcher who was terminated from her job at the Centre for Global Development for questioning the process of gender transition on social media.

Dress however you please. Call yourself whatever you like. Sleep with any consenting adult who’ll have you. Live your best life in peace and security. But force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real? #IStandWithMaya #ThisIsNotADrill

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) December 19, 2019

Rowling’s defense garnered critics to cancel her, but King said she is an “angel” who happens to have a bad take on trans people.

“Yes. Trans women are women,” King responded.

“Here’s the thing: She is welcome to her opinion," King said. "She’s on the side of the angels in most respects, but she does have this one thing that she’s very vehement about. No doubt."

“So, nobody has ‘canceled’ J.K. Rowling. She’s doing fine. I just felt that her belief was, in my opinion, wrong,” King added.

King also mentioned in the interview that he is a supporter of cancel culture, saying certain groups don't like it because they way “they’re used to doing business no longer works as well as it used to.”

We knew from his writing that King has always had a warped mind!

Wonder if he’s Stephen Queen behind closed doors?!

Oh, gosh, I was so bored by the subject I barely made it through the title with my eyes still open.

The Harry Potter books very nicely enforce many gender stereotypes.

I suspected King was a wacko. Perhaps his brain got further cross circuited in his accident. To make an asinine statement about cancel culture showing that culture was not working as it should shows a distorted perspective from the coo coo.

According to Mrs. Stephen Queen, men are women. They would know, since they write fiction.

King wrote some great books, but it’s been forty years.

The Right is fighting back and has scored our own cancel culture wins (like the anti-Israel AP reporter who was cancelled when her outrageous bias was publicly uncovered). So glad that this freak supports our efforts.

King, much like his product, is an evil and twisted man...

>>he is a supporter of cancel culture,

The original 90s miniseries version of The Stand had scenes that took place in Boulder CO but were filmed in a different state, to protest a Colorado anti-gay law.
His daughter is a lesbian.
M-O-O-N-B-A-T. That spells Stephen King.
Laws, yes.

I pick Rowling over King any day. Far more clever. And obviously she has a bit more of an acquaintance with real science (not leftist pseudo-science).

Is Stephen King the most overrated writer on the planet? Yup.
J K Rowling is an order of magnitude a far better writer than King will ever be, even if I don't agree with her on politics.

He hasn’t been right since the accident. It seemed to have really messed with his mind and made him unfun, but maybe wokeness had been growing in his mind and thats what happened to him. Chickens, eggs, eggs, chickens, there is something there, and it seems to have robbed him of his gift.

Yup.
I have never liked any Stephen King book I have read. And I haven't read any of his books for over 10 years.
