18 year olds can carry in war but not at home. Makes no sense.
Not arguing with you, but they can’t buy a beer either.

Does anyone have an all inclusive URL for state reciprocity. Does it also address if a citizen of one state can get an open carry or CC license in another state and carry in his/her home state?

Wow, I really thought this would die like every other time. I won’t be able to relax until Abbott signs it though.

Never mind, I looked up CA gun laws. I’m crap out of luck with open carry, CCW reciprocity, and other commie nonsense according to CA laws. Hell, I can’t even keep a loaded gun in my house unless in an approved safe. Also can’t purchase a Taser except through a FFL. Oh well - no guns for me.

Yeah, right. #;^)
I left CA with ten Guns a couple of years ago, now I have fifteen. My recent acquisition's didn't have to be CA compliant.
As far as the CA Commies go, better to be tried by twelve than to be carried by six, but I'm sure you already know that. LOL

They should just copy the Constitutional Carry Law from MS.
It works like a charm here. No muss, no fuss.

So many cartel coyotes right across the river. So little ammo.

For the LEO organizations or entities to come to the bargaining table unwilling to compromise in any way should serve as a warning to all law abiding citizens that these people cannot be trusted to carry out their sworn duties faithfully and should have little if any weight given in passing this kind of legislation.
The art of compromise is that everyone gives something so that they can get something in return so why even listen to anything these people have to say when they refuse to even listen in good faith? No they should never been given a voice. They should not even be in the LEO field. Maybe they feel more at home with the BLM and Antifa.

Constitutional Carry in Texas is about to crest the hill, but it's not done yet, keep praying and calling. Agreed. As usual the Devil is always in the details, in this case the so far unknown language of the compromises that were made. It's now just a wait and see situation with time running out. It may come down to take what we can get this session and work on what it will take to make this bill even better next session.
One last note. If Danny Patrick the Libertarian quasi conservative (at best) is happy with it then maybe we should be worried, at least a little anyway.

The TX Sheriff’s Association supported the bill. The vast majority of Texas LEOs supported the bill.
The big city Chiefs are puppets of their city councils, who are in turn puppets of Soros.

Maybe the various LEO players should carry scorecards on the shirts so we citizens can tell them apart. Until I know who’s who I treat them all the same for my my family’s own safety.

Why is it even called “constitutional carry” if a LAW is needed to allow it?

Hopefully the leaders of both houses will get this done forthwith and not leave it to the last minute.

They have to pass a law to repeal [a portion of] the infringement of the previous law.

Seems like marktwain was correct and that the Senate did *not* just pretend to pass constitutional carry by making changes to the House bill as a way of running out the clock and fool the rubes into thinking that it tried its best.
Eh, we'll see. Agreeing to a combined conference bill just means a couple Senators agreed with revised changes. The modified bill still hasn't made it out of the Senate yet as far as I know.

Well, I take that back. Looks like the votes earlier today were the final ones needed in the Senate. Recent news sites didn;t have anything current/new, of course, but I just got an email from TSRA:
GREAT NEWS House Bill 1927 by Representative Matt Schaefer passed and is on it's way to the Governor's desk! Governor Abbott has already said he'd sign it! The effective date is September 1, 2021.

I concur. I am pleasantly surprised.

At 18 you can go into the military service, be trained how to shoot many kinds of weapons that KILL people by the hundreds and thousands, but you cannot own a handgun off the base to protect yourself in your home!!! You can be deployed overseas in a combat zone, shoot and kill the enemy. Come back home to the States and cannot even go in a bar and buy a cold beer, because you are only 18 19 or 20. Okay to kill em by the hundreds, but DON’T GET DRUNK on booze soldier!!!! I don’t drink, but I always thought that was as two-faced a law as there is on the books. You can train to kill for the government, but you cannot drink beer. Geeze, Thelma and Louise.
