He never showed up..... Drunks they’re all drunks or crackheads round here
May’s weather has been weird for us too. It was unseasonably cool and now it’s going to be unseasonably hot. Only a few days of normal temps and that was this week.
It sounds like you should have mowed today. But then if you had, you’d just have to turn around and mow again real soon. Rain seems to make grass grow several inches overnight. LOL
Enjoy your cooler weather while you have it.
I’m staying inside with the A/C. :-)
Howdy, luvie.
How are things down your way?
Good evening, radu...drab and dreary and now wind. At least it could rain, but no dice.
Are you heating up? Any rain in sight? Beans growing?
Early to bed is #1 on my list this evening. Last night was a bad knee night...finally had to resort to ibuprofen.
Hey there, radu!
Things are great here. We had a lovely rain shower this afternoon that gave us 1/4”. Not much, but we’ll take every drop.
Are things heating up over that way? Hope it’s been calm there...no tornadoes or other bad stuff.
Good evening, Mooch...don’t like the sound of heat wave.
Hope you don’t need to be out in it much, and your air conditioning is working well for you.
Hey there, Kathy.
Your sky earlier in the day looked a lot like ours. Mostly cloudy with a few patches of blue sky here and there. Now it looks like our sky’s looked the past few days. Dreary but no rain falling.
I can tell the wind kicked up a lot. This morning Lake Hood was like glass, it was so smooth, but the water’s choppy now.
Our temperature was up today but 30 mph winds made it feel pretty nice while I was in town this afternoon. I hope the wind sticks around when the temps hit 90 this weekend and on into next week.
Early to bed sounds like a grand plan. I hope your knee doesn’t fire up again and mess that idea up.
WOOHOO! Glad you got some rain! More would have been nicer but every little bit counts.
Yes, things are warming up here and it’s going to be roasty hot by Friday. None of the rain made it over here from your direction because a big high has moved over us and is going to keep all the rain to the west the next week.
Yeah, Reed Timmer keeps talking about that big low. It’s causing some disturbance all the way from eastern WY down to the Texas panhandle. I’d as soon miss all that stuff.
Sorry it’s getting toasty over there and I hope it doesn’t reach the 90s. Have the cicadas made their appearance yet?
Yep. Our high moved in from the east and will keep your low in place for a while.
There’s supposed to be a few inches of snow tonight in the Rockies. brrrrrrrr It’s already snowing in parts of Montana.
We aren’t looking forward to 90s this early but we can’t stop it. LOL
What I really don’t look forward to is having to water the flowers Dad sent a few years ago. They’re planted at the other house and Hubby has the water turned off over there. I’ll have to lug it in jugs from here. *sigh*
No cicadas yet. The ground has to warm up to a certain point and we’ve just warmed up the past few days. They’ll come crawling out soon enough.
The lightning bugs have appeared. I keep forgetting to step outside just as the sun sets to watch them come up from the grass for their nightly flights. That’s fun to watch.
I love lightning bugs, but we don’t have them here. I think the last time I saw them was in Maine. Along with some very large mosquitoes. LOL!
Oh man, skeeters up north are big enough to cart you off! LOL
We don’t seem to have mosquitos all that bad this spring. They’re out there but not as many as we’ve had the past couple of years. We’ll see how long that holds.
Oh no...sending prayers for you to find someone reliable.
Is that you, luvie, jumping out of a perfectly good airplane??
WE MUST remember and honor them!!
We haven’t either. But we’ve now had a couple of rains, so, like you, we wait. Hubby did treat the water barrels with some stuff that kills the larvae, and I hope that has been effective.
Not ME! I I’m one of the low-risk takers. LOL! I barely jump off a step anymore.
Yeah, you might get a few more skeeters now that you’ve had a little rain. It’s good that your hubby treats the water barrels. That does help.
We’ve had rain and we have the lake right behind the farm but have been lucky, so far, that the numbers have been down.
