The St. Louis lawyer who brandished a firearm at trespassing Black Lives Matter protesters last year has officially entered the 2022 race for Missouri’s open Senate seat.
Mark McCloskey tweeted he would have “a huge announcement” on Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s show Tuesday evening, but his Senate campaign website went live hours before the appearance.
“Mark has never before run for political office, but he has now answered the call of public duty and is running for the United States Senate from Missouri to fill the seat of retiring Sen. Roy Blunt,” his website says.
“Mark is a Conservative outsider who will bring backbone and guts to the US Senate to continue fighting for President Trump’s agenda.”
McCloskey officially filed a campaign committee with the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday. The first-time candidate joins the race with former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens and Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, both of whom announced their bids on the same cable channel.

This is gonna be fun.
Against Greitens?
Never mind...

I remember Freepers we’re stating this lawyer couple we’re basically liberals
Among others.
Any feeling on how well he’ll do against the 2 other candidates, and as a Missourian, do you believe he’s a viable candidate?
Very smart of him to remove the firing pin from his wife’s pistol before the police confiscated it. Would make an excellent politician.
Not viable at all, especially if some of the others who are mulling it over jump in the race.
Please note that both he and his wife are facing felony charges for daring to confront the mob, led by now Representative Cori Bush, that broke into their gated private community. Non of the mob were charged with anything.
If/when he and his wife are convicted, Governor Parson has promised a pardon. The MO constitution does not allow a pardon before conviction. The woman prosecuting them successfully drove Governor Greitens out of office with charges that proved to be bogus. She was re-elected in spite of being under investigation for things she did in going after Greitens. She claims any/all investigations of her are ‘racist’.
This is what happens in even conservative states when libs in cities elect ‘woke’ prosecutors. Mobs go free, anyone resisting the mobs is prosecuted. Same sort of thing is going on in NYC and Atlanta, GA against President Trump.
I think that Greitens has a “woman” problem in that he had a fling with his hair-cutter, who was the wife of a union shill and claimed he took photos of her in his basement in degrading poses. He had a lovely wife and blew it. Even conservative, Christian and forgiving women might have a problem voting for him. This may make in-state funding raising difficult. Expect a lot of unfilled blanks for Senate on those ballots if he is the nominee.
Great ad.....Just saw it tonight
For his own protection...
Lawyers are always opportunists.
Missouri’s western chivalry, fabricated during the late 1800s and rebooted by left coast feminazis, is decaying and nearly dead. Most women who aren’t in the noisy clucking section that is in the process of croaking have already obviously been through the social blender built by their grannies and are settling down (recovering from drug addictions, regretting criminal histories, avoiding new tattoos, trying to lose weight).
