Florida cop convicted of planting drugs at multiple traffic stops

A Florida ex-cop was convicted Tuesday of planting drugs at three different traffic stops. Zachary Wester, 28, was found guilty on 19 of 67 counts, the Tallahassee Democrat reported. He had been charged with planting drugs at 12 different stops but was only convicted in connection to three.

Every single one of his stops should be thrown out. Nobody he ever “found” or actually found drugs on should be in jail. All should have any convictions reversed.

One reason O.J. Simpson got away with murder was because L.A. cops were known to plant evidence to enhance charges. This came out a few years after the trial and they had to release/compensate loads of criminals.

I would say that this would be grounds for a new trial with all evidence of drugs found thrown out.

This is why I”ve told all my kids to NEVER give the police permission to search their vehicle. If they say that they will just get a search warrant, I tell them to go ahead. I’ll wait.
