BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) - As some states choose to end the weekly $300 federal unemployment benefits, the Maryland Department of Labor says the additional payments will continue.

Most of the companies crying that there are no workers are fast-food and restaurants. Both which only offer, on average 20 to 24 hours a week with no benefits and no fixed schedule.
Try living on $150 to $174 a week…

Even at $15/hr, getting only 20 to 24 hours a week on average, while being forced to work a schedule which changes every week (open availability), means that only $300 to $360 a week possible. That doesn’t even pay rent in a vast majority of places.

You still think everyone is back in the 1970s, when these jobs were for higH school kids.
When those are the only jobs hiring in area are these low-wage menial labor jobs, that’s all you can get.
8.1 million menial labor jobs vs. 18 million still unemployed after the Covid lockdowns. A majority of those skilled white and blue collar workers from industries not yet still open.
You also forgot about vast numbers of Indian and Mexican workers taking skilled white and blue collar jobs, respectively.
Only jobs left for Americans are these menial labor jobs that foreigners don’t want
