Trump doesn’t do his own taxes, so even if there is something off, he’ll pay back taxes and fines - but his lawyers & accountants are responsible for what goes into the returns, Trump is neither an accountant or lawyer.
First they’d have to find something that was a criminal violation of NY tax law but was totally acceptable to the IRS. I’d say the likelihood of finding that is pretty much non-existent.
