Legal experts are picking up “signals” that the Trump team is bracing for subpoenas or indictments in the New York City and Georgia investigations into the former president.
Washington, D.C.-based public interest lawyer John Banzhaf, who prompted the election interference investigation in Georgia, said the case is heating up. He noted that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is struggling for documents from Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who is said to be “lawyering up.”
Meanwhile, Willis has hired a special prosecutor who had a role in the Whitewater case against former President Bill Clinton.
Banzhaf also noted that in New York, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. has added a forensic accountant in his investigation of old Trump financial deals and taxes.
In both cases, the political geography doesn’t favor former President Donald Trump. In New York, said Banzhaf, Vance is not running for another term and “just might want to end his already-illustrious career with a bang.”
And in Georgia, Banzhaf said that Willis “is a Democrat in a heavily Democratic county. Therefore, most members of a grand jury, and of any criminal trial juries in this county, are likely to be very unfriendly to Trump, especially now that he has lost a lot of his clout and his ability to reach out easily on social media with most of his followers.”
Over the weekend, Banzhaf also pointed to other legal troubles potentially for Trump, with the General Services Agency agreeing to turn over records requested by House Transportation Chairman Peter DeFazio on the Trump International Hotel lease of the Old Post Office Building. And Trump’s former White House lawyer has agreed to appear before a congressional investigating committee.
“So there's ever-growing evidence that the noose is tightening around Trump, and that a criminal indictment against him

Maybe Trump needs a list of over 100 dead bodies to stay free like the Clintons....
The purpose here is not to serve justice against a criminal, but rather to make the bad orange man suffer.

I don’t think they actually worry about Trump suffering, he has good lawyers and they won’t touch him, the idea is to scare away anyone willing to get on board with him. It is a message being sent that “if you run with trump we will bring you a lot of trouble and headache.” Trump knew he would get it and served us anyway, what a man.
They are dangerously close to losing the consent of the governed.
I'm sure they will eventually indict him. But convicting him will be quite another thing.
The election had already been officially certified. The processing of the votes was completed at the administrative/executive level.
So was Arizona and that's been opened again. Watch the Dems try to do the same here.
I feel for you. What is stopping you and your hubby from moving to a friendlier state?
Yeh,sure! 🙄
Caring for elderly loved ones and hubby loves his job.
Of course.🙄
Oh, bullshit!
Washington, D.C.-based democrat legal-operative John Banzhaf.
Prosecutors have absolute immunity for their charging decisions. They can’t be “sued for misconduct” as you suggest.
Isn’t the law grand?
Obamy and the Clintons have more dirt under their fingernails than Trump has in his entirety. Why aren’t they going after them?
They don’t actually have absolute immunity. Malicious prosecution is an exception to prosecutorial immunity.
You should quit reading blogs and look at actual cases. Yes, prosecutors have absolute immunity:
Read, Imbler v. Pachtman, 424 U.S. 409 (1976). See also Manetta v. Macomb County Enforcement Team, 141 F.3d 274, 279 (6th Cir. 1998); Ireland v. Tunis, 113 F.3d 1435, 1445 (6th Cir. 1997) and Lomaz v. Hennosy, 151 F.3d 493, 498 (6th Cir. 1998).
This immunity extends to all decisions to prosecute except those “deliberately based upon an unjustifiable standard such as race, religion, or other arbitrary classification,” Wayte v. United States, 470 U.S. 598, 608 (1985).
I realize that you want the law to offer protection against rogue prosecutors because it would be make you feel like you still live in a free society, but your want is misplaced.
Read Van de Kamp v. Goldstein, 555 U.S. 335 (2009) as well and when you can actually pass a bar exam, get back to me.
"nobody would DARE try a stunt like that, not even a SorozNazi stooge."
Sure they would, and why not.. The right has no real political support.. The left (commies) owns the courts, the cops and everything else in DC..
The Washington GOP are just a bunch of hairless, milksop sissy boys that will kiss anything that looks like it might give them a dollar..
The only thing that would happen would be some whining and a little hand wringing and perhaps a bit of sniveling.. That's about it..
They can steal national elections and shoot us down like dogs (Ashli Babbitt) and NOTHING ever comes of it..
More fake and gay bs
Like Jefferson said, “You won’t need the 2nd amendment until they try to take it from you”
There’s our sign
Stop trying to bait Patriots into saying what they will do on this very public board.
Agree. Now shut up and put your mask on!
I can't locate the reference but at one point in the Vet Nam War era J. Edgar Hoover told the President "If there is further military escalation I cannot guarantee the safety and security of the American people from the protest unrest. The country may split apart." College campuses had been shut down, streets closed off, police cars burned and so on.
That is tremendously more than anyone fears today if Trump is tried by a kangaroo leftist judge who hates him and thousands of Deplorables are arrested and many killed.
The Left still depends upon the quiescence and law abiding nature of the conservatives. Not our usual nature to fight.
I am not promoting or combating that. Just stating it.
Good stuff.
Thanks for the link——something I had not heard about before.
Good lines such as....
Having pulled off the greatest electoral con and coup in our history, The Party will never relinquish power.
