U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken says he has not seen any Israeli evidence of Hamas operating in Gaza office building hit by airstrike over the weekend. Blinken says he has asked Israel for justification for the strike.
Blinken spoke at a news conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, as pressure is increasing on the Biden administration to ask for a ceasefire in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Israel destroyed a building housing The Associated Press and other military, and claimed that Hamas used the building for a military intelligence office.
That contradicts a Jerusalem Post report over the weekend. It also defies common sense, although there may not be a contradiction here. As Allahpundit mentioned, it’s highly unlikely that the IDF would have chosen to hit that building housing global media outlets unless they knew it was a major Hamas asset. There would have been zero upside otherwise, not even in the accusation that the IDF just wanted to stop reporting on the war from the Gaza side. It wouldn’t accomplish that even if the IDF wanted it stopped, and it would only inflame world opinion — even if Hamas’ use had turned it into a legit military target. (As we are already seeing.)
Knowing that the Associated Press had its offices in the building, it would have been unthinkable to not brief the US on the targeting. There wasn’t a need for secrecy; they gave the building occupants a one-hour head start to clear the building.
The Israelis would have made sure that the White House knew about the intel before the attack, if for no other reason than to embarrass their most important ally. And if they hadn’t briefed the US, does anyone believe that Joe Biden and his team would have remained quiet for this long?

Looks like our infantile Secretary of State is right on top of things as usual. No wonder the Chinese are laughing at us. “I haven’t seen proof” simply means he didn’t and won’t look, and it isn’t true until he admits it is, which he won’t ever do. Not much point in showing him, he’ll shut his eyes and insist he’s never seen it.
They’re feeling it from The Squad now, as Israel has already presented their evidence to him. What he says now is just to throw a bone to their base.

The CIA seems to be like our mainstream media: They have their preconceived notions (world view) and they are susceptible to being spoon fed ‘facts’ from dubious sources that support those notions. Anything that doesn’t fit that view is treated with skepticism or outright hostility.
Maybe the AP should be a little more careful with whom they sign their next lease with.........
I begin to doubt that Israel has any real friends in the Obama/Biden/Harris/Jarret/Rice/Soros Administration.

It was published that the Israel PM spoke with Biden and others and on the call provided proof that a Hamas command center was located in the building. Afterwards AP denied knowledge of the Hamas presence. Since AP specializes in fake news they thereby proved Israel correct. Where was Blinken when the call was made?
Progressives presume all others have an innate desire/drive to explain themselves to the self-important Progressives.
Given this administration’s history, safe to assume Israel felt no compulsion to communicate beyond “we’re going to blow up a building at these coordinates, thought you might want to know.”

Remember Yasser Arafat? He would have his goons attack Israel and provoke them until they responded by kicking the crap out of them and began assassinating the Palestinian leaders one by one. When he felt the heat was getting close to him he would call a cease fire and agree to negotiate. They would sit at the table for a few months until the terrorists regrouped and rearmed after which Arafat would walk away from negotiations and the Palestinians would attack again.
