Howdy, PRO!

It was a great time at the museum this weekend. A steady flow of folks stopped in to check it out. Several were regulars who’ve been popping in every couple of months since it opened. Like those of us who work there, they’d all been antsy for the museum to open again. They missed it like we did.

How’d your weekend go? Did you accomplish all you wanted?

Same thing happened to Joe Foss.

Joe Foss's incident was with America West. Disgraceful!!

My weekend went well, Robin and I did get the new fence installed despite the 90 degree weather. It was a lot of work with frequent rests for this old guy but we got it done.

Now just resting with the A/C still on at nearly 8:00 PM. A bit of a cool down coming this week.

Great that the museum is open!

Howdy, luvie.

How’d your day go? Did your alarm clock survive wake-up this morning? LOL

WOOHOO! You got the new fence up! But UGH doing it in that kind of heat. Bet the thermostat on your A/C is turned way down. LOL

So you’re cooling down a bit this week and we’re going to get your weather. We have 80s all week and by next weekend, we’ll be flirting with 90s.

I snapped a few pix yesterday at the museum and need to put them into the computer. I’ll do that now so I can post a couple.

Hi Kathy,
Thank you, so much, for posting the st0ry of John William Finn, Lt. USN. I will print it as well as I can and remember you, as well as John Finn, forever.
I still get goose bumps remembering my short hour and a half, in a conversation with him, talking like neighbors across a fence. Our one thing in common was the love of our country and that we had served, John Finn heroically and I just for 5 years active USAF, 2 years Ohio ANG. He liked the fact that I had flown B-52s, but DC-10s?, “eh!”
I remember him as a humble man just happy to be able to visit his old buddies at reunions.
Most sincerely, (and tears for John Finn)
Bat
PS I highly recommend the Museums that feature Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.
Patriot Point, in Charleston, SC has a memorial on the USN Yorktown. Also, the World War II Museum in New Orleans, LA has another great memorial.
Cheers to all!

Hey there, radu!

Yes, LOL! The alarm clock survived. I actually woke up a few minutes before it went off, and that helps my mood. I also had a nice nap. But I can almost guarantee that I’m going to be sleepy earlier tonight.

How about you? Did you finally make up for some of the sleep you lost when you had to get up early two days in a row? EEEE!

The pictures from the museum are fantastic! That collection has really grown a LOT! I know you enjoy it so much.

We react differently to waking up before the alarm goes off. It helps your mood and it makes me cranky because I didn’t get those last few minutes to sleep. LOL

Yes, I did get a good sleep and feel much better today.

Indeed the museum has grown a lot, and we still have a mountain of large crates in the shop building out back that haven’t been unpacked.

If I go back to sleep and let the alarm wake me, it jangles my nerves and makes me super crabby. LOL!

They are going to have to add on to that museum if they keep finding more cool stuff. And you’ll be guaranteed a job. LOL

Good evening, luvie...we must always remember our heroes, those who have helped keep us free.

nd it is more important now, than ever before as history is trying to be erased.

The sun is finally out...beautiful, beautiful sun. And I just went out on the deck to feed the ducks and it is sprinkling. Go figure.

Crazy weather time there, too, huh. I hope you get more than sprinkles. That’s all we got, but we’re in the desert.

Good evening, radu...the sun is finally out and it is sprinkling, but not enough to cover the street.

Hope you got to relax today, and had some nice weather to do it in.

It is amazing...so many wounds and he waited til morning to get help for himself.
