However, on closer inspection the people above may have had the motive, they had neither the methods nor the money. As for means, well, they had some practice on a small scale, but never on a large scale.
So who was it that had motive, method, and means of large scale subversion of a national election? It had to be someone threatened not by Trump so much, but by the very existence of America.

I get it. The allure of the mythical Hans Gruber bad guy is strong. Lots of people, while saying they hate Hollywood, have been conditioned by Hollywood and entertainers to think that The Opposition is a brilliant, dark, almost genius-like guy or collection of guys (or gals...don't wanna be sexist now...) or a cabal of people behind shadows with high IQs.
However, the reality is rarely like that. Hillary's data scientists/quants got it wrong, and their arrogance cost them at least Michigan. Kennedy probably stole Illinois but that was brute force. The Soviets were bumbling mismanaged cleptocrats.
Lower-level criminals seem like Einstein during their crime spree, then when it's all over their bios reveal them to be losers who had the element of surprise. Most of them go on to become Darwin Award winners.
Truthfully, all this chanting of SOROS and CHINA et al is reminiscent of the left and their chanting of HALIBURTON during the Bush years. It's what I expect from my 5-year old when something bad happens...THE BOOGIEMAN DID IT!
Do I believe there are globalist forces funding Bad Things? Of course....that's been going on since The Tree and The Apple. Do I believe foreign actors were at work in 2020? Certainly...there are ALWAYS foreign actors trying to influence elections.
Do I think we are eternally screwed and there is no way a largely legit election is possible, and that there is no way our smarts or people can overcome their smarts or people? NFW.
However, if we backcast today's mindset to Washington, he'd have said "ya know..those Hessians in Trenton are just too much of an opposition. They're bigger, smarter, and funded by The King, and besides it's cold out and the spray of water stings my face."
