In 2009, there was an animated series called “The Goode Family”. It featured very progressive white parents, and their adopted African child. Much to their chagrin, their African adoptee turned out to be a South African white boy. They still referred to him as their adopted African-American child.
One of the producers was Mike Judge, known for “Beavis and Butt-head” and “King of the Hill” — so, it was a brilliant satire of the ‘progressive’ mindset. Their dog ‘Che’ (naturally) was only fed vegan food — and a running joke throughout the series was the ever-increasing lost-pet posters in the neighbourhood & the fact that Che never seemed to get hungry. Too bad it only lasted one season.
Anyhow, that’s a completely different way to do an animated show about a woke family.
