This past Monday, for the first time since this whole scam started, an old man accosted me when I was stepping into an elevator at the medical center where I had an appointment. I say old man, because I'm an old lady...almost 74. He and his wife were on the elevator that was going down. There is a sign on the elevator door that says only two people should be on the elevator at one time. I really didn't give a $hit about what the sign said as I had just had a second cortisone shot in my back, and wasn't about to walk down the stairs, so I entered the elevator. The old fart stepped forward and immediately said: "It says only two at a time." And I told him: "Well that's too bad, because I'm not walking down the stairs, or waiting for the only elevator here to get back to me." I told him he wasn't a cop, and shouldn't try to be one. He hemmed and hawed, and then said: "Well, that's what the paper on the door says." I told him, that piece of paper isn't the law, so you've no need to say anything at all to anybody. It's none of your business." He shut up completely.
While our conversation was going on, the door was still open, and another elderly woman came into the elevator, making a total of four. She caught our conversation, and gave me a wink, and a nod.
