There is not much doubt McCarthy, urged by the RINO's would have made such a statement; it is also likely the Biden WH crew made that statement a prerequisite to any meeting with Biden.

I think the statement was made after the meeting but regardless, Biden asked for the meeting and not McCarthy and McConnell. Why would they put requirements on a meeting they wanted?

McCarthy is just showing that he is willing to speak out all sides of his mouth and say anything to anyone based on the audience. He has no core principles, no beliefs, and no interest in anything except being Speaker. He'll do and say whatever it takes to get that.

Ease up pal, with your critical question. We don't know that Biden asked for the meeting or if he just advised when he was available and told them to come in. In any event, my observation didn't apply to a specific meeting.
