The president of America's second largest teachers' union has called for the full reopening of schools for the next academic year, saying 'schools must be open in person five days a week.'
Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, said Thursday morning that 'nothing should stand in the way' of public schools fully reopening and staying open by the fall.
Weingarten, whose union has 1.7 million members, admitted that a return to the classroom is not 'risk-free' but is crucial because 'prolonged isolation is harmful' to students across America.

Hmm... I’m not sure I can properly understand this news unless it’s accompanied by an interpretive dance.
That was my first thought, as well. And I expect the LARGEST teachers’ union will come out to say this is just wrong and racist, to think schools could or should open.
The lazy cows have been sitting around for nearly two years now, collecting their full paychecks for doing nothing except occasionally pretending to do “on-line instruction” - to almost no students. I guess maybe they realize that parent (taxpayer) patience is wearing thin.

Actually there’s a lot of talk about parents FINALLY realizing what’s being taught and having enough with these Communists indoctrinating their kids.
So they need to get parents out of the mix and thus need the kids back to a place where they completely control the environment.
...and sadly the parents will, ONCE AGAIN, become clueless as to what is being done to their kids (but what the hell, school is ‘free’, so why not let them destroy my kids!)
This is not sensible, they should open immediately and they need Summer school to catch up.
But pay us anyway. Kinda thinkin’ my tax dollars are being wasted currently. Well, more than usual.
The Commie Head Office told the teachers’ unions that Critical Race Theory requires constant face-to-face indoctrination away from the prying eyes of parents.
Talk to your members. You can find them teaching down at the border, last I checked.
