I can avoid both of those places. Sadly, I still need to eat, so going to the grocery store required grudging compliance.

In many parts of the US, we’ve already reached herd immunity through natural immunity, acquired and/or a vaccine.
The numbers are plummeting as a result and this was predicted by a John Hopkins physician earlier this year in a WSJ article.
For most Americans, we’re reached the objective.
To put it simply, you’d have to ask every person not wearing a mask if they are vaccinated. And the Karens that are not representatives of the owner of the business you are visiting would be powerless to “monitor” people not wearing masks.
It means that all the people that only wear a mask because they are not interested in a fight every time they enter a business would no longer have to wear masks, even if they are not vaccinated.
Essentially, it means that it would be ridiculous to try to enforce once they allow the vaccinated to not wear masks. They’d have to slap a yellow star of David on the rest of us or something.
Looks like all PUBLIC HEATH OFFICIALS are nothing but a bunch of educated fools..they sure as hell can not follow the science....I am just a dumb construction worker and I figured out after six weeks they had no idea..

Asking someone a medical question DOES NOT VIOLATE HIPAA. Because you can always decline. Getting that info from your medical provider without your permission would violate it. But asking you, or asking for your permission to ask your provider DOES NOT.

A few years ago, I was on an airplane next to a guy that wore a hoodie and a blanket over his head from the minute he sat down on the airplane. He was in the window seat, I was in the middle, and my husband was on the aisle. He said not a word, and slept the 2-1/2 trip. I never touched him, but of course, was in close proximity to him.
We thought his behavior was odd, but surmised he wasn’t feeling well. Didn’t realize how sick he was until a couple of days later.
The day we landed things were fine. The next day though, almost noon, I started to feel a little queasy. We figured we should get a bite to eat. That made things worse, for me anyway.
We were visiting our grown son and his fiancé for a long weekend. I told my family that I wanted just to go to sleep. I felt like I hit a brick wall. They were renting a small apartment so we stayed in a nearby hotel. I was in bed while they enjoyed themselves.
The next day I began feeling some better, but not all the way. Later that day, my husband, my son, and his (now) wife all got sick with the same airborne virus as I did. They were down for the count but I was fine.
That man next to me never once coughed. He only breathed the air that surrounded all of us. He was completely covered with a hoodie and a blanket. You couldn’t see his face. His coverings were way thicker than any mask. Yet his virus seeped through all of that, and I got sick (first).
Thankfully it was a 36 hour virus, but it was a whopper. You can’t tell me that airborne viruses can be stopped with a mask. Sorry, I just don’t believe it after that experience.

Sort of. Because business relationships are considered voluntary a business can declare they only want vaccinated people and those that decline to answer will be considered not vaccinated and they won’t be doing business with them.
