WASHINGTON — Attorney General Merrick Garland told Congress on Wednesday that violence incited by white supremacists poses “the most dangerous threat to our democracy.” That assertion reflects near-universal consensus among national security experts, including those who worked for the Trump administration.
Garland’s warning came during a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing on the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, which was conducted by supporters of then-President Donald Trump and incited by white supremacist groups like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys. Five people died as a result of the attack.
“In my career as a judge and in law enforcement, I have not seen a more dangerous threat to democracy than the invasion of the Capitol,” Garland said, calling the attack an “attempt to interfere with a fundamental element of our democracy, the peaceful transfer of power.” The attorney general went on to say that “there has to be a hierarchy of things that we prioritize. This would be the one we’d prioritize.”

White have been the supreme race for, what now, a couple three thousand years now? And nothing has changed this - for a couple three thousand years.
There is a reason for this. I don’t know what it is myself, and I’m not saying any race is inferior to another. But how did all THIS happen?

While dozens of cities, not just Seattle and Portland, had looting, vandalism, streets blocked and then burning of buildings for most of 2020 and more in 2021- -——THAT isn’t a terrorist threat to the country?

In the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William L. Shirer, which I read all the way through, one young German man was accused of murder of a Jew as the pre-concentration camp days went on. His plea was that there was so much anti-Jewish publicity and the news and government said so much against Jews that he shouldn’t be blamed for losing control and just killing a Jew. Judge agreed and he was let go.
Today: “Judge, I watched the TV news a lot....” “Not guilty.”
To think the GOP dragged their feet on confirming this jerk to the SCOTUS in past times. For the lifetime appointment.
