When lifelong Wyoming Republican Tage Benson and Democrat Chamois Andersen met for the first time at the Owl in the Attic antiques store in Laramie this past weekend, they quickly put their political differences aside.
Their home state's embattled Republican congresswoman, Liz Cheney, needed to be supported, they agreed, for standing up to former President Donald Trump and contesting his false stolen-election claims.
“This is where Democrats and Republicans can come together,” said Anderson, 51, a wildlife advocate who often disagrees with Cheney on policy.
"She is a hero," said Benson, 67, who was working the store's register. He told Andersen his Democratic friends were talking about registering as Republicans to vote for Cheney in the party's primary election next year. "I'm going to talk everyone into that," he said.

Pretty much. You can't impeach someone who is already out of office. Impeachment is all about removing someone from office. It was a meaningless stupid “impeachment”
Their excuse will always be they voted for the “lesser of two evils”, but as we have have found out far too many times the “lesser” of the two evils ends up being a RINO backstabbing, establishment sellout!

On NPR I listened to the speech Liz gave the night before the vote.
It seemed to me that Liz was reading Joe Biden’s talking points about the election and January 6th.
Does she really believe this or is it just what her handlers want her to say?
It’s beyond belief to me that anyone would look at what transpired and believe her
this was somewhat educational. my experience to this point was that RINOs were only politicians. It appears that they exist outside of elected office and their support staff, as well.
There are country club globalists and conservative surrender caucus wings of the GOP base. The country clubbers disagree with Trump on policy and hate him because of MAGA. The surrender caucus would rather surrender to Democrats than get their shirts dirty fighting them. They can’t stand Trump because his strength reveals their weakness.

Let’s go out and reelect Tim Scott and Micro Rubio. That will really show Cheney and Romney who is boss.

Stories like this by Reuters aren’t doing any favors for Liz.
I guess this Benson guy probably subscribes to NR and goes religiously on their anti-Trump themed cruises.
Don’t underestimate Cheney. She is a hard ass conservative who can give Trump a run for his money and a lot of money has and will flow her way. If she is down and out as you say, money would not be coming to her. Finally, just because a conservative disagrees with another doesn’t mean they have to leave the party.
