Pentagon blamed coronavirus risks for decision on Rolling to Remember event.
EXCLUSIVE - Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., and more than 30 other Republican members of Congress pressured President Biden in a Tuesday letter to override the Pentagon's decision to block a veterans group from staging a Memorial Day motorcycle rally in the Pentagon parking lot.
"I would have hoped that President Biden would have more respect for a Memorial Day tradition, which raises awareness to the 82,000 service members who are still missing in actions and that 22 veterans die by suicide each day," Mast told Fox News. "That is why today, I along with 33 of my House colleagues are urging President Biden to reverse his administration's decision and grant Rolling to Remember their permit request to use the Pentagon's parking lot."
Pentagon Special Events confirmed AMVETS' permit for the Rolling to Remember motorcycle rally on March 11 but later reversed its decision. The follwoing month, Mast wrote a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin urging him to "promptly approve" the permit.

"We will have a demonstration on May 30 in Washington, D.C. We're not going to be able to stage where this demonstration has staged for decades, but we will have a central staging area in the District," Chennelly said.
“Pressure!?” For Joe Stolen? That’s a laugh. He’s shi&&ing on the military every chance he gets. Providing parking doesn’t help to destroy America.
Biden doesn’t face any kind of pressure because he has dementia and he doesn’t have any long-term processing ability. If they don’t use the Pentagon parking lot, they are going to shut down the National Mall and far-reaching surrounding areas with their constantly moving motorcycles, so ...
They need to have Mast on camera everyday until they relent.
The left is afraid of these guys.
Just circle the white house.
Fooor hours.
Like Jericho.
They already have a new staging area and the ride WILL go on.
FJB
They should be.
Their FB page immediately squashed rumors that the ride was canceled.
They will be riding no matter what.
As it stands right now, nearly a million bikers will be staging in blocked off streets in downtown DC.
Unintended consequences happen.
;)
Downtown streets blocked off for the staging area.
Gonna suck for the swamp critters.
The bikers instead need to take the show on the road out to the States and territories, coordinating with the mobile Memorial Wall group. For areas near the Vietnam Memorial in DC, they can park their bikes on any one of OUR roadways or park grounds they see fit.
You guys, over here.
;)
Sorry Bulwark.
Stoopid autocorrect
Isn’t the Pentagon run by a commie nutcase?
It may amuse you to know that Amvets and the Rolling Thunder guys are begging the bikers not to “politicize” the ride or turn it into a protest of the current administration.
They’re failing miserably.
99% know full well what’s up and they are pissed.
A few leftist bikers keep screaming Because January 6!!! but get shouted down.
I don’t understand any of this.
I was stationed at the Pentagon and Bolling AFB—right across the Potomac—for seven years.
Many of the parking lots were only reserved during the workday. At night and over the weekend, parking in many places wasn’t even restricted.
Whenever I had guests, and we wanted to go somewhere in downtown DC, especially on the weekend, we’d park at the Pentagon and take the Metro into DC. Easy peasy.
I don’t like parking in DC, especially at night and weekends. I used to have a part time job across from the White House at the VA hdq’s. I’d take the Metro into DC at 4:00 and at 7:00 pm, during my lunch, ride back to the Pentagon and get my truck, and park in whereever there was a space. This part of DC is close to 14th street, and is the prostitute area. Once when I got off work at 11:00 pm, I found a whore servicing a John in the bed of my truck! Ugh! I threw the nasty b—tches OUT!
Anyway, I was lucky because I had a shift worker permit so I could park real close to the Pentagon entrance that had the subway platform.
I’m glad I don’t live near DC or for that matter any big city.
Yep, haven’t you heard, they are like Ray Stevens said: “Their Everywhere, Their Everywhere.”
Because PedoJoe hates the bikers for supporting Trump, almost to a man.
