Imagine how much more you would be paying for goods and services.

Anyone who thinks *ANY* job is ‘just a starter job’ or the like can end up homeless living under a bridge for all I care.

So, I should be able to go to McDonalds, flip burgers 8 hours a day and expect to live in a $300,000 home then? And never, ever have to better myself to make more money because hey, the janitor is just as important at the Doctor, right?

Communist.

Thank our lucky stars we can bring wads of slaves over in caravans from south of the border, because white people wont pick cotton, I mean flip burgers, for minimal wages necessary to offer meal deals to the better employed. We never got rid of slavery, just changed it’s color and gender...took moms after we couldn’t take kids anymore, took immigrants after the blacks needed pay. We don’t need more white children, abort them as they require higher wages. Import middleasterners and south americans to hoe them fields in the sun, ‘man’ those servers 24/7/365.

Time to leave unpredictable human beings behind.

If you cannot run most of your small business with AI software and labor saving devices, change your business plan!

Hey, die of food poisoning, then, you deserve to.

Yes, the person who flips your burger should damned well have healthcare and get paid enough to make rent.

If it’s “communist” to laugh at cheap a**holes who won’t pay a living wage then tattoo a picture of Karl Marx on my ass so you can kiss it.

If you think a ‘burger flipper’ should have to live on a pitiful wage, or that a server should get a few bucks an hour plus tips, with no health care you deserve people to spit and piss in your food, while having to come in to work with a 104 fever while they put it on your plate.

Wow...guess you won’t be hired anytime soon. Being a cat cuddler at $20 an hour is darn good pay for the job skillset needed. Want to use that to up your skills to be a vet tech, go to college, etc. Great. But yeah...it is a starter job unless you are the one generating additional revenues. And the means you have to have better skills than being able to pet the cat.

You can make $2000 a month ($24,000 per year) just off COVID stimulus! That's not counting unemployment and enhanced unemployment. If you can make that much just sitting on your butt, it is a (deliberate?) disincentive to working.

That’s a well-known leftist strategy, the Cloward and Piven strategy. Overwhelm the system until it collapses, then take over and socialize what’s left.

The goal here isn’t to help people — it’s to control them.

Employers won't draw the line at stockholders because the stockholders will sell and buy other stocks. Employer won't draw the line at customers because customers will shop elsewhere. So employers try to draw the line at employees and depending on where both are located, they can.

Government follows the same methodology; they can't draw the line at bond holders because they'll invest in other bonds. They can't draw the line at companies that can relocate and can't go after individuals with enough resources to set up "charitable foundations" so they go after taxpayers, especially through income and payroll tax by those tied to U.S. dollars.

This is the accelerated decline of blue states (which was the reason for this whole scamdemic) where employees can't afford to live, were told it is so dangerous they need lockdowns and masks, and government aided and abetted rioters and arsonists. Could you imagine filling out a job application to work in a business in downtown Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Milwaukie, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Balitmore, Charlottesville, Louisville, St. Louis, Chicago, New York City, etc.?

Why is the government and the Propaganda Media hiding where these job vacancies are?

I'm a year away from retirement.

I did 45 years of working where the ‘take any job, it's more honorable than unemployment’ ethos ruled me. Two, three jobs to make enough to buy my house and put away a chunk for retirement; played that game, met those standards, living a good life that I earned as much as any man on this planet.

I picked pears, prunes, took crap from retail customers while spending 9 hours a day on a concrete floor, moved boxes in a warehouse. I've worked as long and hard as you or any freeper.

And quite frankly, the A-holes who paid me squat can go to hell, I'm having the last laugh as all of these cheap suckers who would rather not pay someone a decent wage for “starter” work go out of business. Good riddance.

Paid my dues, and now enjoying the A-hole jerks who *made* me do so, and the brainwashing SOBs who told me I had to weeping, wailing, and gnashing their teeth. Awwww, don't want to pay someone well but want to buy their third house, poor baby. FOAD to any ‘businessman’ who thinks tips justify paying less than living wages, RIH Mr “entrepreneur” who thinks $12 an hour and no benefits is what they should pay for the sweat of another man's brow.

When I see one of those signs “We are short staffed... blah blah blah” I know that is a place that pays crap wages and will never go in there again.

“Imagine how much more you would be paying for goods and services.”

I seem to get a good deal when I shop at Costco and their minimum wage is $16.00 and I get great deals at the local grocery store and they start at $16.00 an hour.

Those businesses are making it work, and their prices are lower than competitors.

You realize wages for grocery store workers could DOUBLE and the prices would only go up 2%.

If Walmart Paid Its Employees a Living Wage, How Much Would Prices Go Up?

Why not make minimum wage $25 a hour then. Seems that would work for everyone, right?? Happy days. More tax money, everyone driving a lexus...mountain homes, heated swimming pools. The other side of that equation is everything rises in price one due to demand the second due to scarcer products. Then how quick before someone in LA says hey, that guy in Oxford Miss is living far better on his 25 than I am, not fair. The manager says well, if the employees are getting X, I deserve Xplus wages.
That said, I agree, minimum wage is s..t pay. I worked it. There was a recession so when I missed my start time one day, the boss said to me while pointing to the bus stop nearby...see those people at there, they are looking for your job, don’t be late again. That was 60 years ago and I never forgot it and was never late again either. I could have quit except them you had the choice but there was no government safety net out there, no unemployment unless laid off.

Hell white people can’t get decent middle class employment, due to the Cheap Indian Labor Express.

Remove this trash from the US so qualified Americans can work at decent jobs. Not menial labor.

That doesn’t even make sense. If your level of experience warrants x dollars per hour and it’s competitive with the market why should the government put their hands into the mix and force higher wages in the market for something they don’t even have an interest in competing in.
You statement basically says that you’re fine with government handouts and people collecting money for doing nothing.
———-
I agree. Remove the Indian and Mexican Cheap Labor Express from the US before the Middle Class is gone and the only jobs available are the crap starter jobs which can’t find enough employees as it is.

The American middle class should be working these skilled blue and white collar jobs. Not foreign trash.

“Why not make minimum wage $25 a hour then.”

If Costco wants to pay people $25.00 and hour to start, they are free to do that. At that same time, Walmart should be free to pay workers the current minimum wage.

However, if that is the case, I will take my business to Costco, as their wages will attract better workers and I will get better service.

I'm not sure where you learned your math from, but where I learned it $300 a week is about $1200 a month and not $2000. That's hardly going to support a life of luxury.
