“Outdoor transmission is idiocy and they have scared uneducated people into wearing masks outside, which is stupid.”
Some educated people are stupid too.
You are 100% correct. Outdoor transmission is unheard of and nearly impossible.
But I saw 2 people on my local bike trail with masks on yesterday. And a 3rd who was walking.
All 3 were women under 40.
Oh, by all means, I was imprecise there. But...in retrospect, everyone is uneducated about many things, and someone who is an MBA or MD might well be very good and educated at that, but not so much at...transmission vectors, R-Naught and such.
Edmund Burke had a great quote that I have heard Thomas Sowell use more than once: “I revere men in the functions that belong to them, but not beyond.”
Good, commonsense advice there.
What it all boils down to is even performing a cursory risk assessment. Heck, if I have a 30 mile commute to work, I could look at actuarial tables and figure out some kind of probability of getting killed in an accident while commuting, because I know...we all know (or should) that any time you start your engine, your chances of shuffling off this mortal coil increase by some amount.
I have studied and worked with radiation, so I am familiar with doing a risk analysis because that is done all the time with radiation to stay safe.
A minority of people, especially not those in government, seem capable of doing even a rudimentary one on Coronavirus, even though they likely do an unconscious one when they decide how to drive to work on a snowy morning.
America has been played by a universal ,corrupted, agenda....fear based....wake up America, you have been played, lied to, economy shut down, forced to wear face diapers, for absolutely no good reason.
Plus I read the virus has a very short lifetime when exposed to direct sunlight. Like a few seconds.
Corona transmits in grocery stores, restaurants, bars and enclosed workspaces.
Or anyplace else where people share the air.
Not to mention exposed surfaces where someone rubbed their nose and then touched an elevator button or doorknob, that kind of thing.
I don’t think that direct exposure to sunlight kills coronavirus, which to me (If it did) would indicate UV sensitivity which I am pretty sure it has, just not sunlight levels of UV. That is, putting it in a UV chamber (which I presume has MUCH higher levels of UV) will kill it, but actual sunlight might not.
However, what does kill it is heat, so if it is outdoors on an exposed surface that is heated by sunlight, that will kill it, though I understand there is some variability in how much heat and how long.
I haven’t looked at this in a while, but that was the last time I looked at it in six months or so.
Fear mongering and guilt
Men are wired to be risk takers. Women generally are not.
cdc=centers for demonrat control...
the easiest way to gain control of people is by scaring the hell out of them...
Maybe summer in AZ is the answer.
:)
I believe that it generally true.
