Establishment Republicans are Ignoring the Reality of District Reorgs

If you follow North Dakota politics, then you’ve likely heard about a civil war of sorts playing out in the North Dakota Republican Party. More specifically, that battles are taking place in district reorganization meetings across the state. And that’s true. (Note: By party rules, all of these must be completed by May 15th.)

If you’re one of those not involved in party politics, then you might wonder what all the fuss is about. It’s pretty simple actually. Establishment Republicans currently have the majority on the State Committee of the NDGOP, but the more conservative arm of the party has consistently made gains by electing conservative chairs in certain districts. So, naturally, the establishment feels threatened.

It’s no surprise then that there’s reports of things getting pretty ugly in some areas across the state. Whether it’s ignoring or changing bylaws, not noticing meetings according to the law, making last minute changes to venue, or even shutting out people from observing the proceedings of reorganization; we’re hearing about — and seeing — things that, if true, are an embarrassment to rational people.

If I’m forced to choose between a liberal and a RINO, I’ll write in Satan.

So you’re voting for the liberal, then? :P

All joking aside - this idea had merit long ago but not so much today. The place to get rid of RINOs is the primaries. In the general election, hold your nose and select the Republican candidate, even if they are a RINO.

Remember, the liberals have no problem doing the same for their guys and if your party doesn’t win the election, you have no voice. Look at what the Federal government is doing these days if you can’t figure out why that’s a problem.

They are elitists who look down upon conservatives as "rednecks" "bible thumpers" "gun nuts" and whatever other pejorative you can imagine.

They believe that they are superior to their fellow citizens (same as many communists)....which is why their leadership is often fascist.

Establishment Republicans currently have the majority on the State Committee of the NDGOP

This is true in many states. The number one priority in the next four years needs to be replacing establishment Republicans in state committees. State committees are where the Republican Party is controlled. If you want to know why there are so many RINOs in Congress, particularly the Senate, it is because of state committees. They control party resources - that's money. They wield influence. They endorse candidates. They affect redistricting.

The strategy to rid state committees of RINOs is simple. It begins with electing precinct committeemen. Across the US, there are approximately 100k precinct committeemen that are RINOs, and another 100k that are MAGA at the moment. There are also approximately 200k open seats. All that needs to be done is to claim those open seats, but it is more powerful when RINO is replaced.

Those that are not familiar with party politics may think this is some useless effort and wonder how a precinct committeeman can have an affect. However, it is straightforward. Precinct committeemen determine who are on local, county, state, and national committees. That is how the Republican Party works. As Dan Shultz says, "You’re not in the [Republican] party unless you’re a Precinct Committeeman. Precinct Committeemen are the Party."

Amen.

It was RINO-controlled state legislatures who gave the Steal to Biden because of their petty hatred of Trump. They refused to enforce voter ID. They refused to call a special session to investigate the rampant fraud in the cheat-by-mail-in ballots. They went ahead and seated Biden electors. If the tables had been turned, a Democratic controlled state legislature would have done everything to get the Democrat elected by hook or crook.

Vote out every RINO who must face a primary in 2022 and replace them with MAGA people, especially at the state level. It is the ONLY hope we have of taking back the WH in 2024.

That’s why you get rid of them in the primary. If you can’t get rid of them in the primary, well... your option is to either vote for them or the Dems win. Your call.

Absolutely not.

I will not cast a ballot for a RINO, or even a weak republican, which is most all incumbents.

They can put forth decent candidates or do without my vote.
