BIDEN: “There’s been a lot of discussion since Friday report that people are being paid to stay home rather than go to work. We don’t see much evidence of that."
Joseph Stolen is an idiot
Translation: "We aren't looking." Just as soon as the MSM began breathlessly announcing that Josef Stolen has created more jobs than anyone in history it was sort of like the captain of the Titanic announcing that he doesn't see any icebergs. You know what's coming.
Maybe not in Scranton...
Biden and Harris having been legally elected.
I demand to know who is running your administration Joe!!
The free ride is over in Ky and also Ohio I think, ie, look-for-work rules reinstated.
He could talk to my neighbor who is a restaurant manager.
Over half of his wait staff is not interested in returning to work because they can get paid to sit at home.
Happily for him these are his worst preforming staff so he is actually doing well. His good workers are earning very good money because people are happy with the service and are giving big tips.
The wait staff is happy because they do not have to "pick up the slack" of the goof-offs.
Problem is going to be when they are allowed to fully reopen.
Today I was in two towns. . .Hiring signs everywhere.

What type of jobs?
If similar to Colorado, it’s the same crap jobs people avoided before the lockdowns, I’m guessing. Low-wage starter jobs in fast-food, retail and manufacturing.
What the covid lockdowns did was to eliminate an entire class of decent-paying skilled service-oriented blue-and-white-collar jobs. Some very highly paid. Those jobs did not come back.
The low-paid, no-benefit starter job took its place.
LOL!
Most every McDonald’s franchisee started out flipping burgers.
It ‘s not a “crap job”, it’s an opportunity.
“HELP WANTED” There are signs everywhere!.............. #%^%@#$&@% Biden you complete &^$E$#*&^*^%$@!@$&%^*&(
Well, I don’t think President Potato has ever had a real job has he?
We’re way past help wanted signs. $50 for a paid interview. My local school district is offering a $3k sign on bonus for school bus drivers for next year. Heard a radio ad for the local garbage truck company: $1k signing bonus for trainee drivers, $3k for CDL drivers and $5k for diesel mechanic. A radio caller to Hannity reported today a $250 signing bonus for fast food job in Topeka, Kansas. Etc., etc. The economy is broken. Totally.

Not in my area of Florida. Young people are turning down $15 an hour for light office jobs. Answering phones, etc. Easy work. Something much bigger and fundamentally wrong is going on now.
All types . . .all shifts. . .especially truck drivers.
A KFC near here had a sign offering $500 sign on bonus at $15/hr.

Not so in Colorado. Only the OTR megas are hiring (they are always hiring)
Most Class-A/B CDL jobs require minimum 1 year experience. And the only way to get that experience is eat dog crap for a year and work at a mega carrier (where $1600 a month is considered a good training wage). You drive 70 hours a week and your trainer gets your miles.

Noticing a definite pattern. The fast-food restaurant industry is the ones crying the most over lack of workers. Even before the lockdowns, these were jobs to be avoided.
As another Freeper said, many franchisees started as fry cooks. I guess they really enjoyed living in their luxurious refrigerator box for years.
