It says she does. Where I live school board members don't have to have kids in the system. Personally I think anyone who pays taxes has skin in the game.

I’d say skin in the game about how money is collected and spent.

Not how your kids are educated if they don’t have one in the system.

I wouldn’t want someone that didn’t have a kid sitting in one of the classrooms make decisions for me. Especially when they seem to ha e so much say in things.

Just my opinion

I agree with you.

There are many people who have no kids but are paying taxes for public education; and many of those people also have grave concerns about the future of the Nation and the poor state of education. I certainly think that’s ‘skin in the game’.

Neither my husband nor I have ever had a child. But we pay through our taxes for the education of children in general, and have done so all of our working lives.

I have no experience with a ‘school board’ and don’t know how they work. But working to get elected to a school board might result in having some power over their decisions.
