The Tories today started building its own 'Blue Wall' in the North East and marched further into Labour's working class heartlands across England by grabbing control of four councils and a slew of new seats from Sir Keir Starmer's struggling party.

The Conservatives have taken Northumberland Council for the first time since the 1970s, which had been under no overall control but was traditionally Labour before that, as well as getting shock new councillors in traditionally left-wing communities in Sunderland and on Tyneside.

After the Northumberland result came in this morning and the Tories returned an MP for Hartlepool for the first time in 62 years in a landslide vote, supporters took to social media to declare: 'The Red Wall is now The Blue Wall'.

The Labour party thought someone who had been knighted would be a good role model. Labour voters generally despise titled people and love the royal family.

Labour learned nothing from the Bliar years.

p.s. Starmer was openly anti-Trump.

Maybe the Brits are finally shedding the obsolete class grievances that have held them back ever since WWII. The left wants Brits to keep thinking about past feudal oppression, Dikensian child abusers, the Irish potato famine, and hanging judges during the time of Napoleon. They need to get over this.

Whatever, this pandemic has proven Boris is as woke as the best of them. He is only popular because the British sheep thanks him for his approach to bring them back to normal.
