The mayor of San Francisco announced Wednesday that $3.75 million will be taken from the city’s police and sheriff’s office budget to go to help black organizations.

Mayor London Breed issued a statement about the Dream Keeper Initiative that will fund “nonprofits that serve the black community.”

“Across this country, and in our city, we’ve seen how the black community’s economic growth and prosperity has historically been disrupted and marginalized,” Breed said in the statement. “We have invested our resources in a way that lifts up and supports African American small business owners, entrepreneurs, and the entire community.”

And how much ownership does the mayor have in the companies receiving the money?

I do not care what color a business owner is. I only care about quality and service. But from now on I will avoid all subsidized businesses because I will assume they are of low quality and krap service and otherwise inferior

De facto reparations; the silver lining to the steep drop in white births is that blacks, Asians, and Hispanics will fund all this nonsense...

The funds will be used to provide economic relief from the pandemic; help start, stabilize, or grow existing Black businesses by offering consultations and legal guidance; and support African American cultural preservation events. Funds will also be used to establish community hubs that stimulate cultural and business development and provide education and resources in historically African American neighborhoods

Not a Single Penny will go to, or be used for ANY Small Business, 100% of these funds are going to Special Interest Non Profits, Consultants and Lawyers.

A BLM ransom payment? Meanwhile, Asians in S.F. are likely NOT loving the reduction in police spending.

“Mayor London Breed issued a statement about the Dream Keeper Initiative that will fund “nonprofits that serve the black community.”

To me, this is the most important sentence in the Mayor's announcement. I wonder how much of the $3.5 million siphoned from the police budget to these “nonprofits” actually will reach the intended recipients? No doubt, the “administrative fees” and the “salaries” of the nonprofits will consume most of the money. So, while I don't believe the Mayor would be dumb enough to send money to entities in which she has an interest, she is smart enough to buy future voters by her “good deeds.”
