A man was arrested after two Asian women, ages 66 and 67, were repeatedly attacked with a cinder block at a Maryland liquor store early Tuesday, police said.
Daryl Doles, 50, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, police said. Authorities did not specify whether the incident was being treated as a hate crime.

It is only a hate crime if the attacker was White. Clearly, this incident was just a misguided attempt to display solidarity and love.

Even with what little is in the excerpt, it sounds like a drunk attacking the owner of a liquor store, trying to close up.
Now, Asians (maybe Indians?) selling liquor to blacks in Baltimore may be its own kind of hate crime, but I doubt the drunk who had just scored 5 dollars he needed to spend, was.
Why don’t they just BAN cinder-blocks?

If that guy showed up on my property I’d drill him between the running lights. The good part is most people wouldn’t be able to find my property.
What you are missing is that the media has been obsessing with, congress has passed a law dealing with Asian hate crimes. Trump is constantly being blamed for the increase in Asian hate crimes due to his linking COVID to China. Lately the race of the victims especially if they are Asian is prominently noted but the race of the attacker is left out. I don’t know where you work or what you do for a living but a drunk coming in and beating you with a cinder block would be something you would hate.

FR is kind of funny in rightly criticizing America’s un-free press, while following them around by the nose all the time. I realize we have no real choice for “news” in America, so it is hard to figure out what is really going on through all the distortion.
Your implication that Congress and the press are coordinated is, I think, the real story. The WikiLeaks of 2016 showed everyone how much, and nothing was done but to move to more secure servers in China.
Remember when Eric Holder said we need to have a real conversation about race in this country? Leftists continue to speak about “white” violence against blacks, particularly during the slavery and Jim Crow periods.
However, there is no effort in the media, in politics, or in academia to address the reality of racial violence in the US today. Stories of violence against Asians, currently being hyped in the news, infer that such violence is the result of white racism in society, yet in almost all instances the attacker is black.
Likewise FBI statistics show whites are much more likely to be attacked by blacks than blacks are to be attacked by whites.
Democrats, with their allies in the media and academia, continue to aggressively present the meme of endemic white racism being the cause of most of society’s ills and violence today. GOP politicians either remain silent or completely acquiesce to the narrative.
