MS.B...((HUGS))...great to see you!
Today is payday! Busy, busy, busy!
Has spring finally found you?
Good evening, Biggirl...we made it past hump day. Hope your week is going well.
How old is Piper now?
Yes...I am taking the evening off...my brain is tired. LOL!
A movie sounds good a little later, after I find food.
By the time I get out to the deck and figure out where the sound is coming from they are gone. But the sound is nice!
Hey there, Kathy.
We got through yesterday in good shape but a lot of folks across TN weren’t so lucky. Flooding and several tornados.
I went out today to see if anything was coming up in the fields yet and yep. It just isn’t corn. *sigh* At this point, they look like itty bitty soybeans at least. Cotton has different leaves. We’ll be quite happy with soybeans. They just don’t give us as much privacy from the road as corn does.
Howdy, luvie.
What a sweet pic of your son and Piper. Yep, it’s been a day or a few since she was that small. LOL
Hey there, radu!
It sure has been a few days, but she’s still as sweet and the best big sister that could ever be. I do so look forward to them living closer to us.
Good for you!!!! Your brain needs a night off. Dinner and a movie sounds like an excellent plan.
We can’t hear the planes on the cam because they’re a bit far off but that cam has a heck of a zoom. A few have been talking off and landing at Stevens Airport and we can hear those.
It’s too bad you haven’t been able to see any of them from your house. There’s a lot of cool military aircraft flying around.
The floatplane pilots at Lake Hood are excited. Yesterday morning, there was still ice covering the lake. By the afternoon, the majority had melted. Today several have taken off and landed for the first time in 6 months.
There’s even a little bit of green grass showing. Spring is finally arriving there!
Yeah, she’s taller than you now. LOL
It won’t be much longer before they make the move. :-)
And she loves to cook!
We thank him for his service to our country.
Well, we know she didn’t get the cooking gene from you. LOL!
I’m not fond of cooking either. Just not fortunate like you are in having a hubby who does like to cook.
Have you been checking the Lake Hood cam this week to see some of the military planes?
Thanks goodness it isn’t cotton!!
And no flooding or tornados...this is good.
LOL! I think she probably got it from her grampa and from her mom, who is an excellent cook. Actually, I used to be pretty good, but I got tired of it...and of every single thing I cooked. LOL!
I have been checking and saw a couple of C-130s. But haven’t spent as much time as I’d have liked to.
Yes, time has moved on, but they are both happy and they are moving back to Texas! I am soooo happy about that!
The seedlings are barely up and you can’t tell they’re there until you almost step on them. I haven’t bothered to look at what comes up each year until it’s a lot taller.
Soooooo, I looked up soybean seedlings and cotton seedlings ........ and d*** it.
It’s going to be another crummy year.
The guys were here and gone before I woke up the day they planted, otherwise I’d have waved them down to ask. Hubby didn’t bother to do that and just assumed.
We sound a lot alike as far as cooking goes. We can do it well but just don’t care to do it. I like the things I cook but hate being the one who has to do it. LOL
You should go back in the stream a bit to see the planes. The C-17s and C-130s show up most often but I’ve also seen a P8 Poseidon, a couple of V-22 Ospreys, a KC-10A Extender, an E-3G Sentry, and one that no one in chat ID’d and it didn’t show on FlightRadar24. Looking forward to what else we’ll see there the next week and a half.
I’ll have to spend more time there. I saw the C-130 yesterday and actually forgot about it today. I loved watching those Ospreys the other day. They are SO cool!
I quit cooking probably when I started working full-time. When I got home, I’d look in the fridge and then...”can we just go get something?” LOL! Then I got spoiled. The only thing I actually make now is the biscuits I bake every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I wish I had the want-to to do it more often. I do love me some homemade biscuits.
I check the cam periodically throughout the day to see what’s been going on, going back in the stream to where I left off. It was busy today what with the military planes that came into view as well as the float planes taking off and landing, a crew in a little boat going around to pluck debris off the lake surface, and a Wildlife 1 gal tossing firecrackers or cherry bombs to scare the ducks away. Birds and planes are a bad combination.
So you got to see the Ospreys while they were at the airport? Good. That was interesting to watch.
I cooked even when I worked full time. It was that or don’t eat. I didn’t want to eat out because I worked in restaurants and wanted something home-cooked. Big on casseroles and such because cook once, heat up leftovers for two or three days. :-)
