Growing numbers of Chinese Americans and other expats from Asia have embraced far-right groups like the Proud Boys because they fear Antifa and Black Lives Matter want to create a communist dictatorship in the US.
Chinese Americans and expats from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong donated around $86,000 as part of a crowdfunding effort to help Proud Boys pay for medical expenses after members of the group were stabbed in Washington, DC this past December, according to a USA Today report published Tuesday.
The newspaper spoke to several of those donors who said they supported the fundraiser because they believe the Proud Boys and others including former President Donald Trump and radio host Alex Jones stand between America and a communist takeover.
'You have to understand how we feel – we came from communist China and we managed to come here and we appreciate it here so much,' explained Rebecca Kwan, who donated $500 to the fundraiser.
'The Proud Boys are for Trump and they are fighting Antifa, and can you see anything good that Antifa did except destroy department stores and small businesses?'

Majority of Chinese and Chinese Americans are Dems and have been since the 90s. Look at voting statistics and reps from Chinese-heavy neighborhoods. Most of the larger Asian groups (Chinese, East Indian, Japanese Americans) are solidly Dem.
What is is with a certain type of Anglo Saxon who likes to see East Asians as “honorary whites.”

There are several ex-pat/refugee groupings who fled/left Red China, in the US.
You have the older generations who fled the mainland in the late 40’s to avoid living under communism. They knew what lay in store for their country, and they were right.
Some fled to Taiwan/ROC, others to So. Vietnam, the US and perhaps Canada.
After several generations in the US, the Left (esp. covert Red Chinese propaganda operations and groups, i.e. the Red Guards, I Wor Kuen, Revolutionary Communist Party (Robert Avakian maoist cult/party, Carl Dix); Communist Workers Party (Rep. Judy Chu, D-CA) and possibly Grace Meng (D-NY); and the old ex-CPUSA splinter group, The U.S.-China Friendship Association, as well as the old PLP - Progressive Labor Party - ex-CPers and Maoists faction of SDS (The Klonsky faction, plus Carl Dix as I recall), kept nibbling away at the anti-communist Chinese immigrants/refugees, esp. their children.
Add into this Marxist professors in colleges, including H. Bruce Franklin (Un. of Colorado ? and then either Rutgers or Princeton, plus a few other psychopath maoist teachers in other colleges), and you have had a continuing subverting of Chinese-American youth and organizations to the point that they now reportedly have a significant influence in the Chinatowns of San Francisco, New York, DC, and other California cities.
Refugees from So. Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, esp. those who settled in California, have been in the forefront of Asians warning about Red Chinese and Communist Vietnamese penetration efforts/propaganda efforts there and in the U.S. in general (and they were right).
One thing we MUST keep in mind is that the Red Chinese have a very extensive and evil “thug” network in the US. Their tactics include blackmail, extortion, and threats against remaining family members of the immigrants to the US, who are still in Red China or neighboring countries.
Nobody knows how much money the Red Chinese have funneled illegally to the Democrats and Marxists in Congress over the past 60 years but we know that Al Gore got a lot of it and you can bet that Rep. Chu (an old Red), Meng (another old red), and perhaps Ted Lieu (born in Taiwan but sounding now like a RC propaganda machine psychopath, all got secre money from their masters on the Mainland.
Let’s add in horny wackjobs like Rep. Swalswel (D-CA), perhaps Pelosi (she’s the power-broker in California as well as in Congress), and perhaps Kamala Harris (California girl and Red Diaper Baby - her father was an open Marxist professor but I can’t seem to find anything on red front affiliations so far).
These are why some Chinese/Americans are supporting rightist groups who are fighting back against the infiltrated Democrat Party since few other Republican/conservative groups are carrying the fight to the Left. Whether the Proud Boys etc are the groups that should be supported is almost irrelevant because IT IS THE PERCEPTION that they are fighting back that is important.
Speeches won’t stop Antifa, BLM, Maoists and their Democrat Party supporters, and the worried Chinese-Americans know it.
It’s becoming the old adage of “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” (given the cowardice and do-nothing attitudes of GOP/RINO leaders in Congress and some states).
I’ve been to Japan, So. Korea, Hong Kong, So. Vietnam and Cambodia during the war, lived/studied in Taiwan, and have interviewed refugees from these SE Asia/Asian countries including one of Mao’s personal secretary and one of his personal bodyguards (A Red Guard leader who defected).
You have to listen to what they say because THEY’VE BEEN THERE, in the Hell of Communism. To do otherwise is at your and our country’s peril!
The top honchos of Antifa/BLM know that the Chinese seeking refuge in the US are doing this. That is why ANTIFA/BLM members are doing hate crimes on the Asians here.

Pifffft. They didn’t listen to all those that fled the Iron Curtain, risking their lives, and they aren’t going to listen today either. It does not effect their personal lives, therefore it does not matter - they believe.

Nonetheless, support for Mr. Trump by Chinese (not other East Asians) who have actually immigrated from China (many of whom are not citizens) was a real phenomenon in 2020. I saw it myself; Chinese people I never would have guessed would be strong Trump supporters nonetheless were, for exactly the reasons stated in the article.
I have friends who lived in the East Block in Europe years ago and they are some of the staunchest anti commies you’ll ever meet. What they’re seeing go on today scares the daylights out of them.
