Kansas, this smells like winning!

Republicans overturned Kelly’s veto of an elections bill making it harder for individuals and groups to collect absentee ballots and deliver them for voters.

House Bill 2183 focuses largely on mail-in voting. It limits who is permitted to return a mail-in ballot for another person and makes it a misdemeanor for one person to return more than 10 mail-in ballots. The measure also requires the signature on a mail ballot to match the signature election officials have on file, creating a potential for votes to be discarded, and bans the Secretary of State from extending mail-in vote deadlines.

The bill also makes it illegal to backdate a postmark on a ballot and bars election offices from accepting money from any entity other than the state for administering elections.

The votes were 85-38 in the House and 28-12 in the Senate.

GOP lawmakers said they are preventing fraud, arguing that the more people who handle absentee ballots, the more likely those ballots are to go missing or be altered. “Having someone cherry pick whose ballot gets picked up and turned in is not appropriate,” Finch said.

While it is great to see the Kansas Legislature override the DEMOCRAT Kansas Governor, I do not understand why the fine folks of Kansas elected a DEMOCRAT Governor in the first place

They should not allow one person to return 10 other people’s mail in ballots as the bill will allow. It is an improvement but still not good.

100 people x 10 = 1,000 harvested ballots.

Not hard for these groups to get 100 people. And how do you regulate that anyhow?

Because the Republicans nominated that moron Kobach and he ran an absolutely terrible campaign.

“Creating a potential for votes to be discarded” should say reducing the potential of fraud.

MSM at it’s finest.

Kris William Kobach (/ˈkoʊbɑːk/; born March 26, 1966) is an American lawyer and politician who served as the 31st Secretary of State of Kansas. A former Chairman of the Kansas Republican Party, Kobach came to national prominence over his far-right anti-immigration views,[1][2][3][4] including involvement in the implementation of high-profile anti-immigration ordinances in various American cities.[5] Kobach is also known for his calls for stronger voter ID laws in the United States, a national registry of immigrants and visitors from countries with active extremist organizations, and his advocacy for anti-abortion legislation.[6] He has made claims about the extent of voter fraud in the United States that studies and fact-checkers have concluded are false or unsubstantiated.[7][8][9][10][11][12]

He sounds good to me. Wiki is slamming him so he must be a good guy. Figures YOU don't like him. WHY A LIBERAL KIKE YOU IS STILL HEAR IS A MYSTERY.

Exactly, EVERY prominent election in Virginia is stolen IMO! For the last 8 years I have watched in real time how it's done. It's a pattern. They focus on stealing contested presidential, house/senate, and the governorship races by waiting till about 70% of the vote is in then between 11-11:30 there will be a huge dump of votes for the dimwit! I have watched this happen at least 3 times

I should created a pool and have people bet on the amount of votes that are dumped on election day here in Virginia!

Upon seeing the thing about misdemeanors and 10 ballots I was thinking the Bill didn’t mean crapola.

However, the Kansas legislature knocked it out of the park, IMHO, with:

The measure also requires the signature on a mail ballot to match the signature election officials have on file, creating a potential for votes to be discarded, and bans the Secretary of State from extending mail-in vote deadlines.

Has to make you wonder how the current Governor got in and who will be next.

But no one should be allowed to collect a ballot for anyone. It’s called a ‘mail in ballot’ for a reason. F*cking mail it, just like you do an absentee ballot.

It was said that folks didn’t like Kobach. Amazing that so many folks can’t see past the end of their noses when it comes to Election Day.

Wonder how much fraud took place to get the Dem in there

While it is great to see the Kansas Legislature override the DEMOCRAT Kansas Governor, I do not understand why the fine folks of Kansas elected a DEMOCRAT Governor in the first place.

I can explain.

Kris Kobach, a fearless, outspoken conservative, won the 2018 GOP primary by a few hundred votes over the incumbent governor, Jeff Colyer.

Many of the RINOs in this state could not stomach Kobach. They despised his brash conservative stances and his willingness to butt hurt Democrats by telling the truth. In November, too many RINOs stayed home or voted for the commie, Laura Kelly. Some even made commercials on her behalf. 2018 was a good year for Dems, and Kelly won by at least 5 percent.

Colyer has announced he is running again for governor in 2022. If he is the GOP nominee, he will crush Kelly. He may not be quite as conservative as Kobach, but he is with us more than 90% of the time. He is a good conservative, but a bit more diplomatic in how he behaves.

Kobach is running for state attorney general. He would pursue the lawbreakers without fear.

I am praying for both of them.
