Are the leaders of the National Rifle Association abusing the legal system to duck accountability for their mismanagement? Or are they making a legitimate move to reorganize in the face of an attack from politicians bent on dismantling the powerful gun-rights group?
A federal judge in Dallas was left to weigh those competing narratives Monday during closing arguments in the NRA's bankruptcy trial. Judge Harlin Hale said he expects to issue a written ruling early next week in the case over whether the NRA can move its incorporation from New York to Texas.

Let's see if American Courts give protections from Bills of Attainder and Lawfare.
Ping.
Gee, what happened to the gazillion dollars the NRA has received from it’s members over the decades?

Wayne LaPierre has some mighty nice suits.
L
They misused some of it, but that’s way better than Evil New York Democrat Politicians and Bureaucrats getting their hands on a cent.
I don’t think its one of mismanagement or lefty attacks. In this case it seems clear it’s both.

Agree, suggest we start the fix with the elimination of New York Democrats.
Moving corporate headquarters from New York to Delaware was a common practice.
Just spend down the treasury to the last dollar.
The only thing I’m worried about is the lovely NRA gun collection west of Fairfax, Virginia.
What would be the argument against that?
NRA has been crap for awhile. However, I do find it incredible that you have to ask to move from one state to another. First time I’ve heard this.
That the NRA is moving to escape previously filed, valid litigation in New York Courts, by the New York Attorney General on criminal misuse of NRA funds.
You can move your HQ to Texas no problem...changing/moving your “Articles of Incorporation” is a different/more complicated matter.
Contrary to Progressive theory, NRA is made up of millions of individuals. The organization can evaporate and simply reform elsewhere practically overnight.
Gun Owners of America (which has absolutely nothing to do with Wayne Whats-his-name ;>)
To their credit, the National Rifle Association backed Mr. Trump in BOTH of his presidential campaigns (something that can't be said for a lot of the gun owners I've personally met, who bitch & moan the loudest about the NRA ;>). Actually met one Colt collector, south of Phoenix, who voted Democrat because he didn't like the way Mr. Trump holds a Bible... ...
Colt made men equal, owning them does not necessarily make men smart.
The same people who falsely and frivolously accuse the NRA have incessantly repeated, vulgar, insulting demands that we stop voting for Republicans (remember Georgia), stop campaigning, avoid vaccines, catch diseases,... Get the picture? I recommend finding a means of communication where “The Handmaid’s Tale” hen house is not allowed to cluck. The din is a distracting waste of time.
They spent a lot of money developing tv shows and such, that didn’t pan out. Also a lot went to PR firm, travel and perks for Wayne.
