Secretary of State Antonin Blinken said in an interview that aired Sunday that China represents the only country in the world that can challenge the U.S. militarily, economically and diplomatically.
"I think over that over time, China believes that it—it—it can be and should be and will be the dominant country in the world," Blinken told CBS News’ "60 Minutes."
The Biden administration has made it clear that it sees China as a serious challenge to the U.S.
In February, President Biden announced the formation of a Defense Department China Task Force to assess the future challenge from China. And in March, Biden suggested to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson that democratic countries in Europe should come together to challenge China’s massive Belt and Road initiative.
Blinken, who served as deputy secretary of state under President Obama, said during his confirmation hearing in January that China "poses the most significant challenge of any nation-state in the world to the U.S."

Blinken said that the U.S. has made clear that it sees "a genocide having taken place" against the Muslim minority in the region.
"More than a million people have been put into, choose your term, concentration camps, reeducation camps, internment camps. When Beijing says, "Oh, there’s a terrorism threat," which we don’t see. It’s not coming from a million people."

Anyone who still thinks you have to know something or be exceptional in any way to be a politician or even a President should seriously rethink their world view. Politics and elected office are brimming over with unimpressive narcissists.

A question for Freepers. Has anyone seen a serious plan to stop this from happening? Trump had good policies, but at most they would slow China’s growth.

I don’t have to read this article to know what China’s intentions are, I’ve known it for a long time.
When the communist party took over China in 1949, they laid out a 100 year plan to dominate the entire world. Trump was the only real roadblock they ever had, he set them back years.
People don’t realize that when American politicians talk about looking at the future, they’re taking next week. Chinese say look at the future they’re talking next decade.
China is back on track to be THE world power again by 2049. If biden thinks they will let him run anything more than a lemonade stand he is badly mistaken. Maybe he thinks Hunter will be getting his own country to run. Not a chance. Any of the other politicians who think they will be getting positions of power are dreaming. Remember hillary? Same thing. She was and is working for China same as stompy feet and 90% of the rest of our politicians, some who don’t even know it I’m sure.
china intends to literally take over the world, and do it by a specific time, the year 2049. Getting Trump out of the way was their greatest problem. There was a reason he is the ONLY world leader to ever be invited to dinner in the Forbidden City. There was a reason Xi wanted to be sure Trump thought of him as a friend.
This is probably tied to all the info we have about hunter biden when he was in China too. Americans are not usually on the board of directors of Chinese companies. Especially those who d not speak a word of Chinese and have no former business ties to the country. We know hunter’s laptop had pictures of him with underage girls and smoking crack, what did the Chinese surveillance video cameras pick up that they are now using to control biden?
I’m very worrried that the only way we’ll ever get our country back from the commies in beijing is with a war, and china has no scruples about using chemical and biological warfare, we’re dealing with it right now. That’s where covid came from. Biological warfare. They have noscruples abut genocide, the CCP has killed at least 70 million over the past 75 years since Mao took over.
As long as biden is still pretending to be president, China is very close to taking over the entire world.
