Polls have closed in the 23-person North Texas race to replace U.S. Rep. Ron Wright, a Republican who died earlier this year after contracting Covid-19.
The race to represent Texas' 6th Congressional district, the first hotly-contested special election of President Joe Biden's term, is a jungle primary featuring 11 Republicans, including Wright's widow, 10 Democrats and two others.
If no candidate clears 50 percent of the vote, the race will head to a runoff featuring the top two. Polls closed at 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. CT.

“Anti Trumper GOP Michael Wood is pulling about 3% of the votes.”

Yes, he’s an Adam Kinzinger mini-me (and endorsed by Kinsinger). He’s going nowhere but may serve to pull enough votes from Jana Sanchez (the leading DemocRAT in the race) so that the top two vote getters will be Republicans and the ones advancing to the runoff. Thank you, Kinzinger, you major league dumbass.
But only 71% of the vote is in so it’s still too early to call.
Club for Growth spent $160,000 on a television ad and mail campaign opposing Ellzey’s campaign. The ad focused on a $250 donation Ellzey received from Bill Kristol.[18]

Most of Tarrant County’s vote is in.
Henry Olsen has already called a R vs R general.
Sanchez is down to 1 cent on Predicit.
I don’t know how much is in but the Widow is first, her main foe, State Rep. Jake Ellzey who is apparently a RINO, is in 2nd, with a rat close behind him.
23?
The numbers I saw showed her with 9466 votes (17.2%) with only 74% of the vote in. Rankings the same as yours for the top 4, but Ellsey at 15.2, Sanchez at 13.8, and Harrison at 11.9
“... jungle primary...”
Sounds racis’....
Yes,those are the counts with 85% in.
Looks like the Dem is pulling ahead of Ellzy

That’s actually better. Now that the RINO hope (Ellzey) is out, the National Republicans will have to support Wright, the Trump endorsed candidate.
Your numbers are WAY off. Don’t use the NYslimes.

Ellis is all in. Tarrant is almost all in. Navarro has nothing in. Navarro alone will make this an R v R.

Tarrant is all in now.
It’s over.
R vs R general.
Yes. The NBC results were supposed to be 99% but the raw vote numbers were thousands less than Politico.
Looking better now.
GOP combined vote 61-39. This was a Trump +6 in November.
I agree avoiding the RINO would have been a sure thing but NBC was an inaccurate reporter of results. It will be R vs R.
“Looking better now.”

Except I was hoping Ellzey wouldn’t make the runoff. Best I can tell, he’s clearly a RINO favorite.
