... Steve Jobs’ history with LSD is well-documented; Bill Gates has even hinted at psychedelic use. But for Justin Zhu, co-founder of Iterable, a marketing startup valued at US$2 billion, instead of stirring a creative breakthrough, microdosing led to Zhu being ousted as CEO, reports Bloomberg....
Iterable co-founder Andrew Boni emailed staff to let them know of the decision and informed them that he would be replacing Zhu as CEO.
The email was obtained by Bloomberg and while Boni praised Zhu as a “world-class innovator and creative thinker,” he also alleged that Zhu’s actions “undermined the board’s confidence in Justin’s ability to lead the company going forward.” ...
In 2019, Elon Musk faced criticism for taking a drag off a joint during the taping of an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. Shares of Tesla fell as much as nine per cent in the aftermath and some even called for Musk’s resignation.
Musk’s joint smoking also reportedly prompted NASA to pay SpaceX US$5 million to undergo a mandatory safety review and to educate employees about illegal drug use.

And he did it before the company got big and he could have at least made some big bucks first ... more stupidity
It can't be condoned.
The thug Coke CEO is a far greater threat to humanity.

I had to look that up. Didn’t recognize the name, but surely know the company Zappos. Said he abused nitrous oxide. Strange “drug”. Isn’t that like inhaling the gas from whipped cream cans?
If I was going to use drugs, I’d choose something else.

Whipped cream cylinders (like a CO2 charger only a different gas), as well as widely used at your family dentist (but not mine, unfortunately). There’s little more innocuous than N2O. Safer than drinking Scotch or Bourbon, for sure.
Ah yes! Nitrous oxide.
My wife likes to go to the dentist. :-)
I believe it is true that “microdosing” won’t get you high. I have no idea whether it is effective at anything. Maybe there is a therapeutic use worth investigating in a scientific manner for things like anxiety, PTSD, trauma etc.
I had a friend who microdosed on Psilocybin mushrooms in Vegas. Except he “microdosed” every 4 minutes. Didn’t work.
Or maybe it did. :-)
There is some indication nitrous oxide prevents COVID-19/.
I think many would consider the sort of scrutiny contemporary chief executives are subjected to by their boards as amazingly intrusive.
At the same time the egregious behavior displayed by some CEOs is immoral.
Elon didn't get in trouble with me for smoking a blunt on TV.
He got in trouble for talking contemptuously of his brand, his employees, and his shareholders. And he did so in a very cavalier manner. That's just immature for a 50 yr.old.
Muffie and I are agreed that we won't be hosting Mr. Musk at out Newport weekend this year.

I will pass on the message to Elon...
