Pence sticks to the same strategy he used by Trump’s side: Total fealty (Gag)

COLUMBIA, S.C. —When former vice president Mike Pence reemerged for his first post-White House appearance at a convention center chicken dinner here Thursday night, he did not mention how then-President Donald Trump's supporters marauded through the Capitol on Jan. 6, threatening to hang him. Or that the president attacked him on Twitter for lacking "courage" as the Secret Service rushed him to safety that day. Or the criticism Trump has leveled toward his former No. 2 in recent weeks.

In fact, as Pence met privately with about 400 pastors in the cavernous First Baptist Church downtown and traveled across South Carolina, hobnobbing with and fundraising for Christian groups and conservative candidates, he spoke with an almost reverence about the former president.

What was important, he told supporters, was Trump’s accomplishments in office and how close the two men remain.

Pence is an ACTOR who fooled MANY of us, INCLUDING me..

In reality he is a COWARD who presided over the BIGGEST ATTACK ON OUR DEMOCRACY SINCE THE CIVIL WAR: The PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION THEFT OF 2020.

If I were in the District of Corruption I would trust the WaPoo to be a good source of paper to line my bird cage and a source of lesser quality to use in place of TP. As far as the ‘Nooze’ and commentary within it, I would read it if I needed a laugh or needed to raise my blood pressure. It is probably OK as kindling or a fire started.

That dark cloud of doubt and disappointment is going to hand over Mike Pence for a long, long time.
Sometimes, the greatest crime can be a matter of passive aggression: not doing anything to call out, oppose or stop the enemies agenda. Why? Why did he allow the stampede of deceptions to continue?

They were impeaching Trump for anything they could think of anyway, including impeaching him for just doing his job. So worrying that not certifying the election because he would be impeached is not even a consideration to me.

Second his job is not to rubber stamp Whatever crap the democrats gave him. Certifying means that you attest that you think things are in order. Things were clearly not in order.

Lest I believe there was atleast one other time where election results were not certified because of questions of election integrity, so that is where I said there was precedent for doing it.

Being asked to certify something does that mean you are forced to certify it. How is it “highly theoretical” ?

To give you a real-life example I’ve written computer software for very technical medical systems. I have refused to certify some results when I determined that the testing was not adequate. Otherwise I would be responsible if somebody died.

Likewise Pence is responsible what is happening now, for for certifying highly suspicious results.

That’s quite an imagination you have there. It’s not that it’s not possible, I just think it’s quite a stretch to put two and two together and get that.

Occam’s razor says that the simplest solution is most likely. And the simplest solution is that Mike Pence is a coward.

I do believe he could have been sincere in his praise for trump.

But when the moment of truth came where was this praise when he certified Highly suspicious election results?

So he’s less of a lying sack, as you called him, but more of a coward.

Trump has always been naive about people. Pence is a pious Christian. But, even Christians can be cowards. Pence should have announced his decision the day before .

Leave Pence alone Mr. President!

So... Whalen you said “There’s even precedent for it,” you didn’t mean that there was prevent for a VP deviating from announcing the total electoral votes, right? You meant there’s precedent because of your own laudable refusal to approve substandard work?

For any who are Bible scholars, they know, that the Heavenly Father promised a famine of hearing His Word... Pence is as big a fake Christian as is that donkey the many call ‘holy father’.

Oh the ‘Scripture’ is from Amos 8 the whole chapter sets the stage/subject verse 11 is the object of the prophecy ...

“11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:”

The left wants Pence to be the nominee. They are playing nice now, but if were to be the GOP candidate for president, they would savage him calling him a right-wing, fundamentalist nut, racist, and homophobe. According to the Democrats and the MSM, every GOP presidential candidate is Hitler. They literally call them Hitler.

Projecting a pious image does not a Christian make... Pence is a fake..Christian, but a pure politician.

No I mean there was a VP who did not certify Presidential election Results it in the past. I can’t remember who now. It ended up creating about a months delay.

And the VP does not “announce the election results” he is asked to certify them. And he was presented with evidence by Ted Cruz of election malfeasance citing actual law.

More than enough reason to withhold certification until it can be investigated.

Wrong, Owen. It is insane. Personally I think space aliens occupied the White House. There’s just as much evidence for my theory.

My point is this: we lost when the legislatures declined to send alternate sets of electors. As grim as everything is, I’ll never give up and will go down fighting. But Pence’s supposed powers, magical executive orders, Insurrection Act, quo warranto writs, martial law, etc were all, and were always, fanciful bull crap. None of them was ever going to happen and we waste our time and energy still musing over them at this point

The commander of the DC National Guard— who is the only Nat Guard commander who is not commanded by a State governor, has the answer to your question.

The DC National Guard— is commanded by the POTUS. The info is out there (no matter how much Bowser the BLM “mayor” tried to obfuscate the reality). Pence got in the way of all this
communication on 6th Jan. He KNEW what he was doing, and he was NEVER in any danger in any case. Pence partnered with McConnell, and Pelosi. Visibly bumped elbows in the Chamber, with Natzi Pelosi.

He could be a Judas Goat assigned the task by Trump, or... a true Chicken shite coward.

Total fealty? I don’t think so. Convenient fealty, selective fealty? More likely, after reading the writing on the wall. In any event, he’s too bland to be effective in a political knife fight.

At this high level of politics, much is choreographed. Surely Trump sent the message that he would accept a Pence request; then Pence requested a call and Trump accepted. They had a very public call. Fences are being mended.

Given the antipathy toward Pence among Trump supporters, this important work of reconciliation and re-engagement is urgent and will take time.

Trump settles scores but primarily as a means to move forward and to win. We are in one of the most important battles in human history. Way too many sad sack, angry defeatists at FR want to march off in self-righteousness. Have a good life, but know that you opted out when you were most needed.

Trump will win without you.
