Elliot Page, the actor formerly known as Ellen Page but who now identifies as a man, “collapsed” after being asked to wear a dress at the 2010 premiere of Christopher Nolan’s hit movie “Inception,” according to an interview Page gave to Oprah Winfrey.
During Page’s sit-down interview for Oprah, Page claimed to have suffered a panic attack during the international press tour for “Inception” out of pressure to conform with Hollywood gender demands.
“There was so much press and so many premieres all around the world and I was wearing dresses and heels to pretty much every single event,” Page said, as reported by IndieWire.
Page said that a horrible panic attack occurred at the Paris premiere, after a staff member brought three dresses as formal wear options for the film’s initial screening.
“I lost it, it was like a cinematic moment. That night, after the premiere at the after-party, I collapsed. That’s something that’s happened frequently in my life, usually corresponding with a panic attack,” Page said. “Ultimately, of course, it’s every experience you’ve had since you were a toddler, people saying, ‘The way you’re sitting is not ladylike, you’re walking like a boy. The music you’re listening to as a teenager,’ obviously, the way you dress. Every single aspect of who you are constantly being looked at and put in a box in a very binary system. That’s what it leads to.
Page also claims to have suffered from severe anxiety after being nominated for an Oscar for for “Juno”
“That was a pretty intense time. I remember it felt so impossible to communicate with people how unwell I was because obviously there is so much excitement,” said Page. “The film unexpectedly became a big hit, I became quite known, all these things and I felt I couldn’t express just the degree of pain I was in.”
“So the Oscars, for example, I could not look at a photo from that red carpet,” Page added. “People might watch this and say, ‘Oh my gosh, this person is crying about the night they went to the Oscars.’ And I think again that prevents the ability to allow yourself to not just feel the pain but reflect on the pain, to even begin to sit down and bring it all up and finally confront all of that.”
Page came out as transgender and non-binary in early December 2020, roughly six years after coming out as a lesbian.
“Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot,” Page said in a statement posted to Twitter. “I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life. I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self.”
What a misogynist.
Not very manly...
What do they add to the water supply in Hollywood ?
Very effeminate of her!
Pronouns: He and They
She refers to herself in the plural? Schizophrenic?
Perhaps she will find solace with some gay males and have a his-sy fit?
I’ll take her at her word that she actually has panic attacks and isn’t just making that up to be a Hollywood drama queen. It still doesn’t make her a man. She’s mentally ill.
What if this “thing” identifies as a jackass? Would it be Jackass Joe? This crap has gone too far. The world is upside down, which is exactly what is wanted for the purpose of control and manipulation. Nonsense!!!!
Woman upset she was asked to wear a dress (IE: dress UP) for a movie premiere for the movie she was payed millions of dollars to star.
America goes back to the soup line.
Shut up, Ellen.
/Apologies to Meg, Ellen’s more of a b!tch these days.
I have question for all leftists. When we’re all sitting around the post apocalyptic campfires, how much will your virtue signaling matter if you’re still around then?
Especially sine you graduated from useful to useless idiots.
Severe mental illness and/or possession is a heck of a thing.
She should be an actor; she’s doing the drama queen thing well.
Ef They.
In 2010, Page was also in Super where she played a crazy sidekick in a skirt who sexually assaults Rainn Wilson.
Any problems with that?
More solid evidence that transgenderism is a mental illness. If you even needed evidence. Too bad, because she is, was a cutie. Look what it did to her.
“That’s something that’s happened frequently in my life, usually corresponding with a panic attack,”
Sounds like a ‘you’ problem, not a ‘society’ problem.
transgender and non-binary
Lord have mercy she is a ugly looking man from the looks of it! Feminism and the other isms have destroyed womankind.
