With that being said, I bet Gavin is not very happy about this nor was it his idea. He knows the recall is going to happen and this is never an issue that polls well. Sure, if it were “up to him” and he was not up for recall he would support it, but this is going to hurt him.
If he steps in to stop it he alienates his base. If he allows it he alienates the mushy middle. It’s a political loser for him either way.
COVID, of course. The poor widdle babies might suffer or die if they are forced to stay in jail cells. They should be out in public where the virus is never spread except at Republican events and church gatherings.
This just shows liberals don't even grasp the concept of jails and prisons. What the rest of us see as a tragic flood of violent offenders being freed, the liberals see as "voter outreach".
